Playing finger style, I get that warm, round tone with lots of bottom

My American made Fender Precision bass is my instrument of choice when I want to enter a time machine and go back to a simpler era where the warm tones from the likes of Dunn, Kaye and Jamerson graced the airwaves

but it's got that great Fender tone you can't get from any other bass.

The Mexican does everything well and has a great look, tone and feel.

The tone is excellent and all controls work well with a solid feel.

If you can't shell out $1,200+ and want a reliable great sounding bass with that Fender Jazz bass

, he's always *amazed* at the killer sound this bass puts out.

This is one of the best basses that can be had fairly easily for $300 (used), which is a great entry level price, but even better this bass also serves as a great platform for upgrades and modifications therefor this bass can grow with you as a musician, even if you become a seasoned pro

So if you want the over all unique sound and solid mid-tones of a Jazz Bass, at a VERY reasonable price, don't pass this up

Sounds great whether your playing with a pick, slap, or using fingers.

Obviously the American Jazz Deluxe bass is more versatile in the sound department, but not by too much if you have good playing techniques

It's perfect...not a thing out of place

Solid tuning machines, nice strings, and, it even came set-up nicely

This is especially a good choice if you’re the type to tinker around and do your own setups/upgrades, because hot off the shelf many of these suffer minor issues that tend to crop up on super mass-produced instruments

I added a Genuine Fender, vintage, tortis shell pickguard and that makes it look REALLY classy.

Must be one of those 1/100 mim fender bass that can rival a made in america fender bass

but it's got that great Fender tone you can't get from any other bass.

Fender has been making outstanding J basses for years and has got the process "locked in".

You get a great set of genuine Fender pickups and good electronics
