Worst camera ever worst product ever lasted 32 days
This is not a good product if you want it to work in a covered area.
Excellent product that we paired with the Garmin DriveSmart
But, once you get used to the picture, it is a great product
This seems like a great product and a useful addition for any vehicle owner who 1) already has a Garmin GPS device and 2) would like to add the convenience of a back-up camera
Why is the video quality so poor given the quality camera components available and the price of this camera?
If your a "life is too short to waste time on this stuff" kinda of person, then I highly recommend you get the BC 30.BTW: i don't work for Garmin, I paid full price, and I wasted a bunch of money junk wireless backup cameras.
If I only wanted a B/U camera, I could have purchased a third-party camera at a better price.
With a second monitor you can be wireless and or wired with multiple video inputs and a usable image for one quarter the price.
Accomplishes the goal at a reasonable price along with the Garmin GPS receiver.
I then did my permanent installation including drilling the vehicle only to find out while driving that the system did not work as advertised
Not as easy to install as advertised and then not as clear as advertised
Worked pretty much as advertised unless the engine was running, at which point it might work once, briefly before connection was lost and not again until after engine was shut down and whole thing restarted
Installation was a small challenge, but once installed it works as advertised.
Plus it has options to adjust the view when paired up with compatible garmin gps
Be patient, it's worth it if you have a compatible garmin gps.
Wait until you can afford a car with the real thing built in.7-5-2014 Update, GPS (2557 LMT) is now flickering in and out of a BLACK SCREEN, with a message saying "Camera 1 default, it then flickers back to the navigation screen, very distracting, Very disappointing, I've been a garmin customer for at least 17 years
works great to add backup camera if you already have compatible garmin GPS
My Garmin Drive 50LMT worked perfectly fine with the GPS supplied power cord/traffic receiver.

I said after re-reading the instructions [before this point - I was cursing Garmin up and down, but I took it all back ;o)].So, if you don't see "Backup Camera" as one of your choices under Settings, chances are you didn't read the instructions like me.
I did make it so I can turn it on with a switch, so it can act as a blind spot camera, but my rear views (with some small blind spot mirrors) is good enough
In my case, my truck has rather small windows as well as a few blind spots, s the extra view helps quite a bit
It has huge blind spots because the glass back window in the convertible top is small.
It is no substitute for top-O-line factory BU camera, but pretty good add on alternative

(Lost a star on the review due to this.)I'll update my review when I get back from the trip.
I'm only knocking off a star because the image quality isn't quite as good as most factory-installed systems I've seen
Easy t o connect, image clear enough for its purpose.
