The engine now has a nice, deep growl to it, and the MPG has crept up about 1 MPG, so I do notice the difference.

However the growling sound inside the cab was unexpected and acceptable.

Adds a nice growl when you step on the gas but sounds completely stock when cruising around

Would advise an performance exhaust system to go with for the full effect.

Performance wise this air intake really woke up my escalade, it gave it a nice throaty tone which I personally like alot

It's not obnoxious in any way, just the way it should have sounded from factory

Sounds great when you’re all the way into the throttle but not the biggest fan of how it sounds when mid throttle

Either way, it was really easy to install and had very clear instructions.

i put one of these on my 2017 silverado that i only drive on the weekends almost 2 years ago, it looks awesome, ive loved the way it made my truck sound, it did help with fuel mileage and a little more horsepower, i just had to go down a dirt road which i never do in that

My nice quiet truck now sounds like it has a Holley four barrel.

I typically like a little engine noise, just not on an Escalade

I have used this part for over two months, at first I was not a fan, the engine noise at high torque low speeds was a bit overbearing, however after the ECM made its adjustments it wasn't as bad an know gives a throaty tone that just makes the engine sound like a V8.

Whether it improves gas mileage or HP is really not significant without an aftermarket exhaust

This is my 3rd cold air intake I installed on my trucks.

Some say that its not worth it due to the stock air box already sucking cool air from the fender

I had just installed the K&N Blackhawk Cold Air Intake on my '17 Silverado 1500

Also changed the sound of my mufflers to a little bit more aggressive

Again, nice performance gains, was a bit unexspected.

Seemed to have a bit more power, but very loud when pulling camper or trailers

Haven't noticed much in regards to better or worse MPG but there seems to be a bit better throttle response now

I was a bit skeptical about this intake at first, but after receiving and installing it, I am no long skeptical

The box didn’t contain the crank case vent tube connectors

Also, regarding the intake tube, this one is actually smaller in diameter than the factory intake which is why K&N uses a reducer/adapter at the throttle body to shrink it down.

The couplers were nowhere the size they needed to be and the intake tube was not setup for both vent tubes from the valve covers

My only mess up was tightening one of the clamps a little too much and denting the tube slightly

Now the tube with this is metal as oppose to plastic with the Airaid, but this CAI came with plastic fittings that had to be screwed in to the tube.

My only complaint is with the cheap plastic fittings they included.

Replaced ALL of the cheap hose and plastic crap with stainless steel braided hose with anodized aluminum fittings and stainless compression fittings on the head cover ports

but I have to take one star away for the two cheap plastic fittings that thread into the intake tube so you can install 5/8 hose where the factory vent hoses

To attach your head cover breather hoses to the K&N tube, they give you these cheap, plastic 1/4NPT (Pipe thread

It sucks that the plastic is kind of cheap but the customer service more than made up for it

I did the same and coupled it with a throttle body.

It gives you a nice access room for doing maintenance like changing bulbs on passenger side, cleaning throttle body intake and changing the front 3 belts

so I bought my first cai just this past Christmas for an 08 GT and coupled it with a throttle body spacer.

I paired this product with airaid throttle body spacer and truck is alive.

The missing screws were2 screws to hold the filter to the base2 screws to fasten the sensor to the tubeI'm glad I have plenty of spare

My #1 complaints is the plastic screw in attachments for the air lines

Easy install, was missing a couple tiny screws, but K&N overnighted them
