Reviews around color (3.95 of 5)

  • As l finally had the extra cash to finally get the best tv l have always wanted
  • We have the television on maybe 3 or 4 hours each day (baseball and/or a movie) and really enjoy the true rich colors the picture provides
  • Alpha 7 uses a wide color spectrum while the Alpha 9 uses a more complex color table that contains more data points
  • I had to play around with settings (on both TV and Apple TV) to get everything right (improve colors, reduce judder, etc.
  • If you enjoy Quality Pictures and Color than this is the TV to get.

Reviews around technology (3.86 of 5)

  • As l finally had the extra cash to finally get the best tv l have always wanted
  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • QLED and other types of LED technology can succeed OLED in the brightness category however, because OLED is organic so there is a ceiling to how much brightness it can show
  • If you are debating this or the C8, I really don’t think that the C, or E for that matter, are worth it
  • This TV is perfect, beautiful picture great sound, great smart technology, we love it!

Reviews around price (3.80 of 5)

  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • If you are debating this or the C8, I really don’t think that the C, or E for that matter, are worth it
  • So, bottom line is that while I wish the OLED TVs were cheaper, I did get a decent price for it
  • This was by far the best price I found
  • Great picture, great blacks, great price!

Reviews around picture quality (3.78 of 5)

  • The reviews are all true, the picture quality is amazing
  • The picture quality is great but that shouldn't come as a surprise when you drop 2k for a tv
  • The picture quality is amazing, the smart features amazing, the ease of use amazing
  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • I thought I was buying the latest greatest, but was amazed at how poor the picture quality was

Reviews around feature (3.56 of 5)

  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • I wanted a tv without all the smart features but couldn’t find one easily
  • My favorite feature is the fact that I can use the TV remote to control everything: OTA and IP channels, Sling TV, Netflix, Amazon Prime, speakers, and Apple TV
  • In either case, it's a very feature-rich remote, which is nice, but I prefer the elegant, minimalist look and feel of Samsung's recent remotes
  • So are this features worthy of the $200 premium

Reviews around remote (3.44 of 5)

  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • Despite the poor documentation and the issue with the magic remote, I'm giving this TV five stars because it's just that good
  • The setup for the universal remote lists Dish as one of the set top boxes that the remote is supposed to work with but once set up, the magic remote has no magic for me
  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • The "magic" remote has flaws and again the owners manual is of no help

Reviews around detail (3.22 of 5)

  • The detail in the shadows is excellent from how light falls across objects you can see the difference in how the strikes it
  • I also chose this version (instead of the more expensive E and W series) because all of them have the same video panel, meaning hey all have the same video quality, so there is no need to spend more
  • This creates greater depth, exceptional details, and more realistic pictures
  • Sharpness enhancer boosts fine detail and texture by accentuating the edges of the object in the picture
