In classic mode, you can choose to have a team of basic humans in which you customize their hair / face / mouth / expression / chin / ears / uniform / nose / skin color / accessories / facial features etc to get exactly (within reason) what you want for your pictures of your characters, and then can further customize them with in-game equips that will actually appear on the character.

Depending on whether you choose basic mode or classic mode, you will have a number of options to choose from

It’s a darker story than most of these types of games bother to go, but still never ventured beyond being an ‘excuse’ for me

I’m often going to it to quench a very specific desire for customization, exploration, and a decent enough story for an excuse to do it all
