Here, rather than replaying songs in free mode to get diva points to get modules, one simply replays songs in story mode to do the same.
Best game in the series by far ^_^ also enjoying the newly added story mode
In previous Diva games, you could use pretty much any module you like at any time, and while this is still possible in free play mode, in story mode bonuses can be obtained by using modules that match the "aura" of the current crystal that is being energized.
This means that if you are an experienced player, you need not trudge through easy mode, pressing O ad nauseam on each and every song.5.

The song list is lackluster, and although the remixes are nice and the story is a good idea in theory, in practice it makes the game insanely boring over time.
The new game play elements and module drops are such good ideas.
It has a lot of new features such as the story mode, as well as a progression system which is a great idea

While the track list is somewhat shorter than the other titles', it still provides for a fun and game-changing new entry in the Project Diva series.
That said their entry Project Mirai DX for the 3DS is the best entry; Diva X does a lot of great things such as the way it handles the new menu system, load times, and unlockables, the voltage system is also a lot of fun

Rather, playing the story mode (more on that in a minute) and clearing a chance time segment will cause the lead singer to transform into a new module.

Miku does have some decent songs, but I do find her voice to be tiring
you have no choice but to play them on Miku's song because she completely dominates the whole cloud
My gripes with this game are that there are only 30 songs (not enough if you've played previous games), there's no ability to change the voiceover on songs, almost all the songs are Miku (although she is the star, variation is always nice), and the song "Holy Lance Explosion Boy" is not a favorite
People who like slow meaningful songs will be disappointed though
Now, not messing with the core mechanic of the game is a good thing, so the developers get credit here

I feel that if they ironed out the bad things the next game will be even better
However, it's a good thing they put in that kind of collectathon, or else this game would likely have lost my interest very quickly
