To describe this game in a single sentence, Zero Time Dilemma is great, but not as great as it should have been
It's the third entry in the much beloved Zero Escape series and picks up right where Virtue's Last Reward leaves off
A video version of this review can be found on my YouTube channel named ShadowForks GamesWhat is a Zero Escape Game?A well-written story full of intrigue
I wouldn't play this without playing at least Zero's escape and would recommend 9hours 9persons as well
VLR continued that expectation by being a very solid addition to the series, further cementing the fact that Zero Escape is a gem of story-making and puzzle gameplay

Basically, this is an amazing game that you can play without playing the other games (some moments wont be as memorable) but I heavily recommend this game and the series in general.
There are more than a few WTF moments that I may never understand, but there are some great moments and endings that really make you think
however the technical issues with animations and the new camera angles Made for more of a z-tier horror movie and some exceptionally hilarious moments, all dealing with Carlos

There were a few weak spots in the story, there really weren't enough puzzles, and the 3D cutscenes sometimes look really wonky (wrists and hair especially), but the game still had the twists and turns I've come to expect from the Zero Escape series, and I enjoyed every last minute of this game
I loved the twists, the atmosphere was absolutely creepy, and I believe the pros absolutely outnumber the cons

Fantastic game with a superior experience on the vita.
When you analyze what Zero Time Dilemma is striving for and successfully delivering as a piece of art, when you consider the subtext, and let everything it offers, both good and "bad," wash over you, the experience is profound
Its predecessor, Virtue's Last Reward, is a near-perfect experience on all fronts

The now animated cutscenes make the story bits more enjoyable and the puzzles are still great.
My second issue with the game is how easy the puzzles were
The puzzles are engaging and fun although not as varied as the ones in VLR while the story is as expansive and weird as you'd expect from the series
There were a few weak spots in the story, there really weren't enough puzzles, and the 3D cutscenes sometimes look really wonky (wrists and hair especially), but the game still had the twists and turns I've come to expect from the Zero Escape series, and I enjoyed every last minute of this game
The puzzles are still rewarding and immaculately designed
Either way, Zero Time Dilemma marks the conclusion of the Zero Escape games; a series that has been treasured by almost all of those that have taken a chance on it
You should really play the whole series to enjoy it fully, obviously
As the third game in an otherwise excellent series, ZTD is a disappointment
Zero Escape has been a fantastic series, so when they said it was coming back, I was overjoyed
It's the third entry in the much beloved Zero Escape series and picks up right where Virtue's Last Reward leaves off
Too bad the story's over, but that's probably good for the characters sanity though
The story will make sense to you and following along will be easy, but enjoying the game will be immeasurably hindered by not following the previous 2 in the series
Encounter the creepy, rewarding, and provocative story; one that’s been the most flawlessly executed to ever grace video games.
This completely eliminates the drama in certain scenes and can make them appear comical or cringe-y
Such a well put together story, combined with the incredibly passionate scenario writer Kotaro Uchikoshi (of such games as Never 7, Ever 17, Punchline, and the other games of this series) definitely deserve praise for its genre-breaking and morally-questioning qualities
But for those already familiar with and find enjoyment in the visual novel medium and enjoy puzzles that may or may not leave you crying while begrudgingly perusing walkthrough websites for answers, I could not recommend this title more.
I unfortunately could not recommend this title to the faint of heart however which also means it is most definitely not a title for everyone
