DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc - PlayStation Vita
DanganRonpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a revised and revamped edition of a title originally released on the PlayStation Portable in Japan in 2010. You'll take on the role of Makoto Naegi, a desperately average teenager who somehow finds himself accepted...
This was my first experience with an interactive novel style game, and i really did enjoy it
This is a truly excellent experience, and I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys this type of game.9/10The game also includes an NG+ mode called School Mode, which I haven't played... so I really can't comment on it.
Overall I had an enjoyable enough experience to pre-order the collectors edition of the sequel
The best part about it is the "Experience authentic gameplay with original Japanese language/voices or new English language/voices
I have finished the game already (Although not 100%, but I will try for it on my free time) but I'll definitely keep the game just because of the amazing experience
Over time this series kept picking up attention and was praised as one of the best game series on the Vita and one of the top ten reasons to own a Vita
I love this series, finally glad it's been translated over.

You can develop relationship with the characters throughout the 'free time' part
I messed up a few times but that was due to the rhythm portion.
The free time and group events I just described all occur during the exploration phase
It is very similar to ace attorney in the 'deadly life' part of the game and very similar to persona 4 in the 'free time' part of the game
Even during this period, I still had immense amounts of respect for the charming and unique art style, and excellent melancholy music that this game has to offer

Rally great music that set the tone for the tenser situation, and very nice characterization of the motivation makes, the cast and atmosphere great
I think the music is indeed great, but I don't necessarily need the soundtrack
Zero Escape (for dark plot setup)Persona 3/4 (for social development)Phoenix Wright (for investigation and trial)And then add original characters, really strange/wonderful music, and a great 2D/3D mix art style, and you have Danganronpa
After finishing the prologue, I was still confused as to what the game's story would be like.
The gameplay during any free time is easy, you can go wherever you have available and check things to collect the coins; during the free time you can talk to people and give them gifts to raise their friendship.
To summarize I think the narrative and story of the game is pretty decent but suffers from a maybe not so great gameplay, but that is merely my subjective opinion
The best part about it is the "Experience authentic gameplay with original Japanese language/voices or new English language/voices
If you're looking for something with great gameplay you've come to the wrong place
First, the titular "refutation bullets" that you use to refute false statements aren't used consistently
Endless Debate - you are given certain truth bullets (between 1 and 6) to use against weak statements made by other characters
Weak statements are shown as text in a different color (yellow if I remember correctly)
The class trial consists of 4 main sections: Endless Debate, Hangman's Gambit, another section consisting of destroying false statements in time with music, and the Review
In some parts of the game, you are meant to use refutation bullets to support true statements
Each time you destroy a statement, their health is chipped away.... vice versa if you miss statements, you lose health
After finishing the prologue, I was still confused as to what the game's story would be like.
