Paper Mario: Color Splash - Wii U Standard Edition
Prism Island is being drained of its color in this turn-based action-adventure RPG hybrid. Paper Mario's paint hammer splashes paint on anything it hits, so he uses it to bring the color back to the island.
Game would be perfect with real RPG mechanics and if there weren't so many moments leaving you confused as to where to go or do next
No matter how biased one can be when comparing Paper Mario games, no one can deny that the graphics in Color Splash are extremely GORGEOUS!
Now, once you get past this little things, and like I said, the game is a lot of fun, the graphics are really good and the jokes are really funny.
This can be a good thing for fans of LEGO games (especially since this game has phenomenal graphics), but even so they would have to endure Color Splash‘s combat
Otherwise the graphics were good enough for the game of his type and everything else reminded me of the other paper Mario games.
My 6 year old son LOVES this game but it requires constant reading to play
Also, NEVER fight a boss without looking at a guide first as just like in Sticker Star you MUST have the correct thing card(s) AND know exactly when to use them.
My son has been going crazy over this game.
My son loves Mario and seems to really enjoy this version of Super Mario!
I know fans of Thousand Year Door don't feel like it lives up to the franchise, but if you play it without any previous version in mind, it's pretty fun.
The fun was in connecting to each of your party members and unraveling their stories in each level
The writing is hilarious, the scenes endearing, and it's just good fun overall.
The Cut Out action skill was both fun and annoying as all hell, no in-between
This is a super fun, super engaging game, with a lot of reasons to replay (like that last 2% of uncolored spots!)
Game would be perfect with real RPG mechanics and if there weren't so many moments leaving you confused as to where to go or do next
This game is not only enjoyable, it's frustrating (but in a good way).
The RoShamBo temples offered a good way to gain coins, but their RNG elements left something to be desired
quest but half way the game was made that you have to find four puple toads and three key toadsThis game delays you from the main goal the game gives you at the start of the game
Somewhere along the way aka "Sticker Star", Paper Mario lost its way
I personally love this battle system, but many may find it cumbersome and annoying
The game also really pretty and Nintendo does well at using their underpowered systems to the fullest
When the story is a rehash with a slight tweak, you have to have an amazing battle system to keep a RPG going.
Finally, execute your attack movesIn closing, this game is fun and funny at times, and if it weren't for the terrible battle system which made you want to sneak around and run from enemies more than fighting them, this would totally be a 5 star game.
This is very little like it and relies an an complicated gimmicky battle system in which you are forced to swipe the screen and play and paint cards.
