  • Play n64 with my kids when they were little, now I play with my grand kids this beautiful game which I consider one of the best family games.
  • Like the classic 2-D Mario games, you can't double or triple jump, which is jarring at first but ultimately makes for unique, old-school gameplay that feels new for a 3-D Mario game

  • Like the classic 2-D Mario games, you can't double or triple jump, which is jarring at first but ultimately makes for unique, old-school gameplay that feels new for a 3-D Mario game
  • Like the classic 2-D Mario games, you can't double or triple jump, which is jarring at first but ultimately makes for unique, old-school gameplay that feels new for a 3-D Mario game
  • Much like Galaxy 1 & 2, Super Mario 3D World feels like standing before a seemingly bottomless well of brilliant new ideas
  • Overall Super Mario 3d World is fun but very forgetable in my opinion
  • The fine folks at Nintendo did us well with Super Mario 3D World and at this price it's definitely worth it

Reviews around level (4.65 of 5)

  • One of the best Mario games, great graphics, fun levels and we love the fact that 4 of us can play at the same time
  • Would definitely recommend the levels are awesome to play
  • If your a Mario fan I definitely recommend it but if your casual and play other games to then stay away unless you want very stupid level designs that would frustrate you
  • What the levels don’t have is the major WOW factor and that takes more than a powerful processor; it takes creative level design
  • Take everything you love about Mario Galaxy, such as precise controls and vast levels to explore

Reviews around family (4.47 of 5)

  • It's a great game to play alone, and it remains fun for the first little bit when you bring friends into the picture, but bonds are destroyed and families are shattered in minutes.
  • Play n64 with my kids when they were little, now I play with my grand kids this beautiful game which I consider one of the best family games.
  • but the whole family has gotten in on the game at one point or another and love he challenge along with the option to play together.

Reviews around character (4.45 of 5)

  • I like that you can play as other characters than Mario
  • What's awesome about all of this is that you get to choose between several equally well-designed characters to play as, and all offer unique abilities and traits
  • Just like Mario 2 you can choose between Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad or you can grab a few friends and you all can play at the same time with these amazing characters
  • but I cannot excuse some of the level design, boring ost, and the recycled "unique" character traits
  • Having so many unique characters practically guarantees that gamers of any skill level or play style will get the most out of their experience with the game, and that's awesome

Reviews around design (4.33 of 5)

  • Like the classic 2-D Mario games, you can't double or triple jump, which is jarring at first but ultimately makes for unique, old-school gameplay that feels new for a 3-D Mario game
  • The worlds are beautiful in HD and have great design and gameplay elements, the soundtrack is stellar, the Miiverse integration is a fun little diversion to take a break between levels and the new concepts and powerups work really well
  • I know Nintendo loves to use controller motion to 'do things', but if that move was activated by a simple button-push, it would be much better design
  • It also helps that the levels are varied and creative as those of Galaxy (though without the crippled Wii controls and forced motion elements) and, thanks to the HD and wonderful visual design, extremely beautiful.
  • If your a Mario fan I definitely recommend it but if your casual and play other games to then stay away unless you want very stupid level designs that would frustrate you
