Reviews around size (5.00 of 5)

  • the DM-40 can be placed up against a wall without having to worry at all about fluctuations in bass response-The soundstage on the DM-40 is surprisingly wide, and the speakers themselves pack a surprising amount of power to fill a generously-sized room with sound
  • Bigger than what I expected, but a nice size and good output

Reviews around monitor (5.00 of 5)

  • Overall good monitors
  • Awesome monitors, great sound
  • but besides that its a great deal for monitors I tested them against the mackies in the same size and the pioneers have a richer midrange where most monitors this size sound muffled in the middle frequencies

  • which doesn't give many options, still it works fine a XLR or 1/4" inch jack would of been golden

Reviews around value (5.00 of 5)

  • Best Value for your money
  • These brands are a bit more money however if you are looking for good sound don't buy these and buy the KRKs (better value than HS5s)

  • Even if you are a DJ and know of the Pioneer brand and good rep for PA systems, decks and consoles etc

Reviews around pioneer (4.03 of 5)

  • The KRKs have a power amp each cabinet, the pioneers have a single amp and a cable connecting the two cabinets, Benefit
  • Bought the Pioneer DM-40 for my office/studio setup and really enjoy the mid and high ranges they hit, as well as some light punch on the lower end
  • Nice try Pioneer, but some work to do if you want to keep up with the big boys.
  • Great sound pioneer always delivers in that aspect which is most important when we are talking about referencing and monitoring
  • I like pioneer but would not recommend these
