The low end is great for most music production, but if you're working with electronic/dance/etc or anything needing accurate sub ~60Hz reference, definitely invest in one of KRK's subs - the combination of that and these monitors will blow your mind.

The only downside is that you get to hear how well a track has actually been mixed, and if you have a track you like, and it's not been mixed that well, you have to reach for EQ to change the colour

The mids are near absent, the highs are fuzzy, and the bass is muddy.

Bass crazy.. will sound best after broken in.. will sound amazing if professionally fitted into studio.. although DIY well done sound setup will greatly improve how they sound.. very loud
