Read several great reviews about the s2000 have the inputs I need, + bluetooth

After my time experimenting with them, I feel really happy with how they sound, and I can't argue with the great reviews out there

Took a gamble with these after reading good reviews on other Edifier products

I almost purchased the Audioengine A5+ given consistently good reviews, but their styling left me flat.

The Edifier's were on sale through their website and I took a chance, despite a lack of familiarity with the brand or many available reviews, since I really liked the styling.

But again, not a deal breaker given the price, you just can't expect much more for sub $400.-- The optical cable included does not have the appropriate end for connecting to a computer headphone jack

The lower end of the spectrum is very audible and while they don't reproduce the boom of a dedicated high end woofer, it's very acceptable and even after reading reviews of folks complimenting the bass response, I was still very pleased

In a comparison against the home stereo monitors they lose a little at both the top end and bottom end

Finally, the low end... is absolutely astounding for speakers of this size

I use these as both monitor speakers for recording and for listening to vinyl and I have to say that they far surpass my expectations, I can't say these speakers are for everyone, but if you need a pair of top end speakers with a small footprint on floor space, then I highly recommend giving these a try.

The look is overall very good with only the front grilles/logo looking a touch "plasticky" by comparison to the rest

I give these speakers 5 stars because for me given the size and price they exceeded what I expected from two powered bookshelf speakers for under $400

I think this speaker works well, the sound is shocking and the price is right!

Powerful, tight bass, with crisp clear mid and highs

Excellent bass, delicious mids, and good highs.

I played some FLAC 16-bit files to compare and you could tell the difference between MP3 and FLAC - which is a good indication of quality of the speaker

and that's always a good indication as well.

The boxed set of the Edifier's represent a good indication that these are a class set, very well packaged (triple boxed for protection), and excellent connection hardware that makes setup easy and quick.

The tweeter on these is absolutely top-notch, and sounds smooth and natural and open and all other positive adjectives

But the clarity and vocals from these speakers is top notch.

They also look really nice in person, better than they do on the amazon product pictures and their build quality is top notch

But the sound quality for this price point is truly unbelievable

Item arrived as expected, the quality, not only the sound, but the speakers itself, is exceeding my expectation

Had been pondering a much pricier setup (a pair of passive B&Ws or Sonus Fabers - which are subjectively speaking in a wholly different league - with an Emotiva amp) for vinyl, but decided at the very least these would be worth ordering to check out, and possibly return if they weren't up to snuff

The mid bass gets muddy and fuzzy quickly with increasing volume

Has more then enough bass and if you want more you can adjust it on the speaker

Excellent sounding computer speakers with enough bass to not need a sub.

When I got these speakers I instantly noticed a massive step up in build quality over the last set of edifiers I bought (R1700's) which were good speakers for their price range, It's clear however that Edifier pulled out all the stops when working on the S2000pros, for a set of book shelf speakers they have the ability to fill a whole room with sound with floor rattling bass and bright highs that do not distort at higher volumes.

It think many reviews here consider the build to be good because they are so heavy

They're solid, well-built and possess accurate, monitor-like sound
