the rokket 5s are great for a small room studio like a 12 by 14 room!!very crisp and tight bottom end!!

The low end is great for most music production, but if you're working with electronic/dance/etc or anything needing accurate sub ~60Hz reference, definitely invest in one of KRK's subs - the combination of that and these monitors will blow your mind.

The only downside is that you get to hear how well a track has actually been mixed, and if you have a track you like, and it's not been mixed that well, you have to reach for EQ to change the colour

With these ROKIT 5's, it seems like I can get a good feel for what the mix will sound like in all different applications, which is really impressive considering how much they cost!It could be that I'm finally benefiting from the years of experience, but I have to say I'm really impressed at the flat response and clarity of these things... especially for the price.

These monitors have helped me improve my recording and mixing.

It is true that the bass is lacking

The mids are near absent, the highs are fuzzy, and the bass is muddy.

Very good bass and even the treble is a pleasure to hear.

Its quality sound really surprised me and the woofer resonates good bass.

The sound fills out nicely with amazing clarity and separation

The point of studio monitors is to provide an unbiased clarity of all frequencies, low mid and high.

I've used larger studio monitors in a home studio for some time, but was sorely missing the clarity of a good pair of near field monitors
