Something very affordably priced that I could use for song writing demos in a small apartment.

Excellent response and reproduction in a compact enough footprint for the desktop

One thing that sets this pair apart from the competition other than it's accurate sound reproduction, is that they have both a high and low-end tuning knobs on the back of the primary unit (left side).

Near-field monitors are designed to reproduce sound with a *flat* response to give an accurate, faithful reproduction of the original audio without enhancements.

Monitors are supposed to provide a flat response in order for the mixer (you) to get a clear, unbiased reproduction of the sound you are engineering

The sound is excellent, and the range was much better than I anticipated, especially the low end

By contrast, "loudspeakers" are used for home audio and they typically have boosted bass and or treble response (low and high frequencies) to make the sound more punchy and colorful, especially since nearly all consumer audio sources come from highly compressed MP3 sources where much of the dynamic range of the original music track has been lost

This allowed me to have a greater working range on volume.

Between the volume adjust and several out put ports for RCA and the regular quarter inch output as well as the volume adjust knob are what makes this Monitor along with the good range of frequency this thing puts out

They produce clean and incredible full range sound, they amaze me for their size

I like the sound quality of these monitors; great use for reference

I work in Broadcast Productions and I have used several in the 25 years, but these are killer for the price

The frequency response is suitably flat, and with proper EQ is great for any type of music listening.

I have my bass setting on +2db and it sounds great listening to electronic music, the walls behind me shake if you put your hand up on it

I use these for audio production as well as casual listening.

I will use these primarily as computer speakers just for easy listening, but I also dabble in music creation, for which these will be excellent too.

Beautiful looking monitors and beautiful sounding across the entire audio range

Aestheically they are quite modern looking and fit nice aside a pair of QHD monitors, being well-sheilded and small enough to fit within limited space

I wanted some small, nice looking near field speakers for my PC desk setup for YouTube, music, movies, training videos, etc

Presonus is doing great things here, and for a hundred bucks or so, no disappointment is possible.

I could go on and on about how awesome these things are

I would just say the highs sound is a bit warm rather than bright (not a bad thing)

These things are awesome for a small office/studio setup

so that's the only useful thing I can contribute to the reviews

These performed great for their size, we tested online music and the quality was very good

The speakers themselves are very good quality, and quite possibly the best set of speakers for $100.

but that's one of the best things about them since they don't take up too much space, and the sound quality is amazing

I highly recommend especially for setting up a nice small recording studio.

I’ve owned much more expensive studio monitors then these, but let me tell you these are great for putting together a budget video editing or sound editing station

I am aware of at least one other reviewer who bought these this month (May 2018) and received the wrong power cord like me, so be prepared for that if you order these monitors, but don't let that put you off

They came supplied with the wrong power cord, which based on my experience and other reviews isn't just a one-off thing and has been an issue for a couple months

However, I was sent the wrong power cord and was unable to hook these up

That solved the issue fine, but be warned that I have read other reviews of people getting the wrong power cord in their box as well
