This is the PS4 to own if you want better frame rate, better graphic, 4K or if you own PSVR.
Unless you already have or is willing to buy a compatible 4K TV along with the PS4 Pro, it is not worth upgrading as this new beefed up console is not anything revolutionary, just gives you better graphics and frame rate, otherwise games running on the regular PS4 is just fine
As far as performance, I do notice smoother frame rates and slightly better anti-aliasing, but until more games come out that have PS4 Pro support, I don't have much to add in regards to gaming compared to the regular PS4.
Nice upgrade better definition better frame rates on games that are patched.
Had the unfortunate black death screen on my 4k vizio- brand new not sure if Sony cares about the issue as they seem to blame manufacturers for the faulty compatibility
Very fast and a beautiul 4k resolution on my Samsung 4K TV
Netflix, YouTube, and other programs will support 4k resolution
Really nice graphics, smooth processing, and better resolution on my PSVR and the rest of my games not to mention 4k are just a few reasons I love my new PS4 PRO.
I'm a big gamer and I can honestly say this piece of crap is the most defective electronic I ever purchase
But I will not wait around for you guys to play catch-up while Microsoft steams ahead with their underpowered, yet future media friendly Xbox One S, with a 4k Blu ray player, or their upcoming Project Scorpio
Good product only buy if you have or plan on getting a 4k HDR TV
I understand problems happen right, but for me to get this thing back from service and have it not work this is easily the worst experience I've had all year with a high end expensive product.
Not having 4K Bluray (AKA a sony owned technology) almost makes me feel like this is a cheap product that sony is trying to make a quick buck on.
excellent product, love the pro, works perfect on 4k TV.
Even though it would have been a very nice bonus, the product would have been so much more expensive
Fantastic console with amazing graphics and games to match.
In fact the graphics are marginal at best compared to the older unit.
The Pro does upscale graphics on existing games, it's not a hoax or a selling gimmick
So if you have money to burn, love technology, graphics, and video games... please, by all means upgrade to the PS4 Pro
My main issue with the console is the graphics, every Pixel can be seen on screen, i honestly feel like im back in 1988 playing my NES again on some games, and whats really sad is that (at times) even the NES looks better in some areas!!
Pro more than holds its own given its price bracketFor Playstation VR Owners - will update my PS VR update for more detailed info+ Some PS VR games like Robinson the Journey are visually more impressive thanks to higher resolution textures+ Developer support promised for improved PS4 Pro support with VR with future titles like Farpoint~ No immediate benefit in terms of frame-rate or latency, but this isn't a big issue on PS VR on the
Titanfall 2 - This game is supposed to offer greater frame rates and enhanced graphics on the PS4 Pro
Nice upgrade better definition better frame rates on games that are patched.
Had the unfortunate black death screen on my 4k vizio- brand new not sure if Sony cares about the issue as they seem to blame manufacturers for the faulty compatibility
Sony needs to address the many issues that plague this system and as of right now some games run at worse frame rates on the pro

You have to use a peripheral device that has nothing to do with sony or playstation; or worse, facebook
I use the ps4 pro with my asus monitor and whenever I watch game trailers on the playstation store, I've noticed that the graphics are slightly pixelated and not as sharp as they are compared to when I'm playing a game
But I will not wait around for you guys to play catch-up while Microsoft steams ahead with their underpowered, yet future media friendly Xbox One S, with a 4k Blu ray player, or their upcoming Project Scorpio
I am happy with the purchase of the PS4 Pro, especially playing The Last of US in native 4K and Call of Duty Infinite Warfare and also makes the PlayStation VR games look more clearer and sharper
One faulty cable or lack thereof is a difference between "meh" and "WOOT".
Certainly, the PS4 Pro's lack of a free game and different bundles will hurt its sale in the beginning, so even with that aspect, you might even want to wait until Christmas, as I'm faily certain by then there will be a free game included
but they don't even make common 4K tvs like mine compatible
and if you have one and have a compatible 4K tv and have the extra
I called Playstation Customer support and it is crippled by support that has poor English and lack of knowledge
A lot of issues with this system as stated by many reviews on here, my biggest issue with PS4 Pro is that my 4K tv can upscale games better than the PS4 Pro can
But I will not wait around for you guys to play catch-up while Microsoft steams ahead with their underpowered, yet future media friendly Xbox One S, with a 4k Blu ray player, or their upcoming Project Scorpio
Sony's attitude toward their customers regarding this issue has also been pretty non-responsive and arrogant

Love the graphics my PS4 had overheating issues haven't had to deal with that here
Amazing games.- Decent controller with interesting speaker system but no traditional battery option if internal rechargable fails.- Poor presentation and potential re-use of packaging.- Horrible UI (User Interface) with a nice shopping cart- HORRIBLY noisy fan, if you need to play in low volume environments, stick to the PS4 slim, at least it's quiet
I purchased the PS4 Pro from Wal-Mart in December 2016 and, besides the loud fan and heating, the system was working "fine".In terms of the difference in game picture quality between the PS4 and the PS4
I wish I had returned it the first time I heard the loud fan noise.
When I turned on the pro the fan is quiet through most applications and games .
I bought an external cooling fan, but it doesn't seem to help
Poor customer service and poor quality system are making me consider to stop buying Playstation products
Kudos to amazon, never ordered and pre ordered a console before, but their excellent service has proven to
Prevent yourself from losing money due to terrible customer service and retention policies.
Sony's online service is the absolute worst out of what I consider the big 3 (Steam is #1
But I will not wait around for you guys to play catch-up while Microsoft steams ahead with their underpowered, yet future media friendly Xbox One S, with a 4k Blu ray player, or their upcoming Project Scorpio
Power and eject buttons are impossible to find, controller has broken Home button, needs an update to play DVDs that came out ten years ago won't play music CDs makes loud noises like its about to break down any second
But the blue ray drive will make a loud noise when starting then will be quiet than make loud noises throughout then be quiet and it will do over and over.
I wish I had returned it the first time I heard the loud fan noise.
No loud noise from the fan, not irregularly hot as others have said
But I will not wait around for you guys to play catch-up while Microsoft steams ahead with their underpowered, yet future media friendly Xbox One S, with a 4k Blu ray player, or their upcoming Project Scorpio
i had old PS4 Model number CUH - 1108AAll games which had in my old PS4 MODELI try all those games in this new PS4 PROall games are working in this new PS4 PROThe Old games i had wasCall of duty ghostCall of duty advance warfareCall of
This model is worth every dime
You're paying for a "more powerful" piece of hardware that actually performs WORSE in some areas than the older models AND the visual improvements on a 1080p screen are so difficult to see that it's just not worth it
Rating 1 star until they fix it, because it's essentially false advertisement and 100$ more for something that works identically, as far as I can tell (maybe quicker load times?), as a significantly cheaper model that usually has some sweet packages this time of year
I did return my Samsung 8000 series and got a little cheaper model I decided to go with the Samsung 55 4K hdr 6 series 6300 model and let me tell you it's way better than the 8000 series when it comes to playing games very very low input lag on all settings even without game mode enabled there is no lag and the tv cost half the price as the 8000
