Reviews around light (4.70 of 5)

  • The led lighting under the keys is quite customizable, and the keys feel really nice
  • I love the look of the keyboard, the construction/materials, the LED lighting, basically everything
  • The lighting is cool and the switches feel nice, but about a quarter of the keys will double click almost every time you hit them
  • With the lights off it looks great, however in a decently lit area, the back light is a little dim
  • The LED lights are now frozen and the asterisk key on the numpad repeats consistently

Reviews around weight (4.61 of 5)

  • I love the weight of the chassis, and the action of the keys.
  • It seems to be built well, the gaps were even and it has a nice weight to it.
  • It's got a good weight to it and doesn't slide around at all.
  • Non floating key design would be preferred if this was a keyboard for me, however, it doesn't seem to bother my fiancée that the case is low profile/floating keys
  • You can feel the tabs on the keys from when they were molded.. has some good weight to it

Reviews around feel (4.60 of 5)

  • This keyboard has a solid feel to it with the metal housing and the textured keycaps
  • This keyboard is 100% legit I love the tactile feel of the keys and the led lights are amazing it has some really nice weight to it as well
  • I have had a few mechanical keyboards and the switches on this one is the best feel for myself
  • This keyboard looks stunning has a very nice durable feel and look
  • The keyboard has a solid, sturdy feel because the whole thing is made of aluminum

Reviews around build (4.53 of 5)

  • The build is very solid and they keys are exactly what you would expect from a mechanical keyboard
  • (Keyboard software is straight forward no manual needed.)- Solid look and feel- Great response.- Comfortable low profile- Solid build quality- Gorgeous RGB
  • This is a very well built entry-level Mechanical Keyboard
  • Overall: 8.5/10At this price ($60 at time of review), the K556 is a surprisingly good bargain and can hold its own against kbs $20-40 more expensive.- Decent build quality- Macros and individual key RGB customization (although difficult to find)- Clean, understated, refined look...something I never thought I would say about a Redragon product.
  • Pretty heavy, but that makes for a very solid build quality

Reviews around price (4.42 of 5)

  • I would highly recommend this keyboard to anyone looking to get into a mechanical keyboard at a reasonable price.
  • Quality products, Outstanding support, and generally cheaper prices than competitors (think Logitech, Razer, Corsair) for the same type of hardware
  • Excellent price and the color options on this model are better as well.
  • Non floating key design would be preferred if this was a keyboard for me, however, it doesn't seem to bother my fiancée that the case is low profile/floating keys
  • Mi first mechanical keyboard.. awesome price and performance, nice and durable design

Reviews around option (4.30 of 5)

  • Would love an option to purchase with Cherry MX Silent Blacks or Cherry MX Silent Red switches (clearly this would increase the price
  • * Detachable USB cable* Option to purchase board with Browns/Reds/Blacks as main switches instead of Blues
  • Since I’m working with the keyboard on a MacBook Pro, the customizable part of the colors is not useable, but I can still shift through the preprogrammed color options that are included with the K556.For the price, I would say that the Redragon K556 is more ‘premium’ than some of the pricier options in this peripheral category
  • Has a heavy duty feel that gives me confidence this product will last, many fun lighting options that just bring this thing to life, responsive keystrokes that lead to (for me
  • I searched for the cheapest options, quickly learning that building my own keyboard would not, in fact, be the most affordable solution

Reviews around color (4.28 of 5)

  • The one thing I would like to change about this is that changing the colors and schemes is fine with Fn
  • If the rainbow color pattern is selected then the keys will be random colors, otherwise they will all be whatever solid color is chosen
  • Then you would just have one solid color, which is what the Normally on mode is for
  • Some may want just a static non moving color
  • I wish you could make it a static color which is easily doable

Reviews around quality (4.24 of 5)

  • Feels nice to type on, and the build quality is quite good
  • It is decent, but the travel of the keys is kind of weird, also the switches are kind of membrany, they don't feel bad, but the build quality of the switch is not that good, almost broke while switching it for the Blue switch that comes in the box
  • The build quality is like a tank, due to the metal frame
  • Its pretty quiet for a mechanical keyboard and has great quality out of the box!!
  • People buying these keyboards for typing may struggle as they are so sensitive

Reviews around product (4.21 of 5)

  • it is also very good for my hands being easy to typeVERDICT: I highly recommend this product.
  • So with that in mind, I've edited this review from simply mediocre to that of a pretty good product.
  • Amazing product, I bought my Redragon k556 for $55 and I feel it was a great deal
  • This is a great product, very sturdily built with excellent replaceable keys
  • I don't care how good a product is, if the support isn't

Reviews around rgb (4.19 of 5)

  • Love it, was looking for a cheat RGB keyboard that had a software, exceeded my expectations
  • the keyboard has great rgb lights and the extra switches don't hurt
  • Great RGB mechanical keyboard with brown-style switches
  • I wanted an RGB keyboard so bad, and this is definitely the best choice
  • much better quality than expected, brushed aluminum tactile keys and the RGB looks stellar would buy again

Reviews around switch (3.78 of 5)

  • My only problem was that the switches are extremely hard to pull out.
  • The mechanical switches feel nice and have a good click
  • So now I can swap out switches if they die down the road
  • The switches feel nice, and I love how the LEDs can be programmed! The outemu brown switches are pretty smooth, and with o-rings, they're pretty damn quiet
  • The switches are not as loud as my Kumara, but the feedback is good and crisp.

Reviews around key (2.92 of 5)

  • Been using it for a few months now, no faulty keys, all lights work well and are very customizable, enjoy this keyboard a lot.
  • The keys are extreamly responsive and click when pressed
  • Played for hours and fingers feel great, would highly recommend for gamers as well as the keys are very responsive.
  • Pass without Trace rapidly lights up the key when its pressed and then it slowly dims out (leaving lots of lit up and slowly dimming keys on the keyboard as you type)
  • They seem to be as responsive as original cherry keys and not as noisy as authentic cherry blues

Reviews around pad (2.18 of 5)

  • People buying these keyboards for typing may struggle as they are so sensitive
  • I bought this keyboard because I needed a keyboard with a number pad as well
  • When the keyboard gets to its min or max speed, the three leds (Caps lock, Num loc, and Scroll lock) will blink letting you know its as fast or slow as it gets
  • All the rgb lights are on except for the ones on the number pad
  • Although its performance is great, after a couple months of use, some of the keys on the number pad stopped working

Reviews around problem (1.00 of 5)

  • Non floating key design would be preferred if this was a keyboard for me, however, it doesn't seem to bother my fiancée that the case is low profile/floating keys
  • No problems with the lights so far, thing has survived a number of pet induced drops onto a tile floor (though one of the corners got a little banged up), have not needed to replace any broken switches, the lettering on the key caps is actually molded into them so it hasn't worn away in the slightest
  • Usually not a problem, at first I got scarred because I suspected it was my hard drive going out
  • I use it in an office environment, and the noise has not been a problem
  • Originally, I wrote this: "I am having horrible problems with every mech keyboard I buy
