The Tab A 8 does not work well for me for composing text but it does well for viewing existing content like videos.

it has to ask for your permission for it to have your location so it can record anonymous data around everything you are doing, and functions will not work unless the device is attached to location which I frankly think is ridiculous because it is not necessary to the basic function of the app, it's just for google's benefit

If they put at least 32gb into it, I think the absence of adoptable SD card memory support would have been a bit easier to swallow.

A bit disappointed though since it is much newer than the original iPad she was using and it under performs compared to it.
