so its not an issue and a p.a. will have controls also so it is more convienet just to plug in/im considering buying another one for a south american harp i have that has incredible tone (wish i was a better so am harpist) but for now i can use the pick up interchangably.
When I plug it into my Crate Taxi, the overall tone it produces is very good ... much better than the Fisher SBT-HP pickups I've used in my other harps.

great item/ sounds better than all the others ive rigged up thru the years- was pretty easy to install and beautiful accoustic sound,ive moved around the 36 string i installed it on alot and its kept its place and sound- i would recommend this pick-

With the added "treble bridge", it seems to capture the full range of strings equally instead of favoring the lower octaves
