Reviews around panel (5.00 of 5)

  • Clean front panel allows for using in HTPC setups very well without looking like a tank
  • The drive cage/bay is one piece, that you pull out to add/remove drives; no more digging-in to add drives.- Clean front panel cover/door design, that can be
  • The top panel has a small grille for heat to exhaust out of, and on the right side of the case you can see two of the three included 120mm fans
  • Larger coolers may not fit - wider ones may obstruct the 5.25" drive bay, and taller ones will not fit with the top panel closed
  • 2 80mm fan mounts on the back above i/o panel, good for exhaust fans, but no standard liquid cooling solutions fit on an 80mm mounting point as of this review

Reviews around swap (4.82 of 5)

  • This case has two hot swap-able bays that are very chinsy
  • The reason that the interior is so cramped is the hot-swap HDD module
  • For some reason I can't recall, I had to leave the front cover the hot swap bays.
  • The reason I am giving it two stars is because along with the idea of the locking door, I was greatly looking forward to the hot swap bays in the front.
  • I will say, though, that replacing drives is a pain compared to hot swap bays.

Reviews around htpc (4.75 of 5)

  • If you're looking for a large case to hold a powerful HTPC with great cooling so you can keep the fans down low, look no further
  • This unit is the case of choice for a compact HTPC and has proven to be a great purchase.
  • Great HTPC case would recommend to anyone wanting to use a ATX motherboard for an htpc
  • This is a much more compact HTPC case than the first one I bought
  • Even when playing bluray discs the fans hardly spin up which is wonderful as no one wants a loud HTPC.

Reviews around room (4.53 of 5)

  • Though this is a mATX case, there is enough room for all the parts listed above, with room for breathing
  • Accommodates a full size ATX MoBo with dual graphics cards and enough room for 3 - 120mm fans and 2- 80mm fans
  • It comes with 3 fans and enough room for 7 3.5" drives as well as 2 slots for DVD/Bluray drives.
  • Has enough room for my two 3 TB hard drives and my SSD as well as DVD player and all my other goodies
  • This gave me just enough room to put the case back together with no issues

Reviews around look (4.35 of 5)

  • Nice looking case when finished, but it was a difficult build
  • It's a really nice looking case especially for the price.
  • They do make a slimmer HTPC series (called Milo, or ML), but I found those cases to be much cheaper looking...much more "budget" products
  • As long as you need a full ATX board you can't go wrong clean look and tons of room for my full size 660ti graphics card.
  • but I like not having it messing up the look of the front panel.

Reviews around quality (4.33 of 5)

  • The build quality is excellent and everything inside is black
  • Overall, the case is up to Silverstone's usual impeccable build quality, ingenious layout, etc
  • Id consider this pretty cheap quality and a 3 out of 5 stars overall
  • Great build quality somewhat difficult to work with after being used to towers but very happy with final configuration.
  • It has a great build quality and I like the fake aluminum brushed front

Reviews around cpu (4.30 of 5)

  • It does impose some size limitations on your CPU cooler and GPU cards, however
  • At CPU idle, the CPU is running 2 degrees cooler than the case temperature
  • Beware of CPU cooler height limitation, per documentation
  • So far, nothing has gone above 40 degrees Celsius under idle (CPU has actually yet to go above 36) and under strain, everything stays within a perfectly acceptable range of 70-80 degrees
  • I have had to order a different CPU cooler fan to replace it.

Reviews around build (4.18 of 5)

  • The screws are crap, the layout is crap, and it makes for a very difficult build.
  • I thought that this case make for a nice build, but I found the interior too cramped to ensure proper ventilation
  • Overall, the case is up to Silverstone's usual impeccable build quality, ingenious layout, etc
  • Due to how compact the case is it's a much harder build than most PCs and reading the instructions did help.
  • The build turned out great and is doing what it was intended to do

Reviews around design (4.02 of 5)

  • This was the first time I've used a case like this for a build, but I've had SilverStone cases before and knew they were well designed and built.
  • I normally can build any PC within 2 to 4 hours but because of the poor design of this case it took me almost 4 days to build this HTPC.
  • The solid design with the built in system fans, hot bays, and locking front panel make for a versetile case.
  • Putting it back in is the worst part; the design of the cage includes a plastic support, a wide rectangular shape that attaches to the bottom of the cage and rests on the floor of the case when in place.
  • the mozart was a keeper for me for several years due to its ability to accommodate large graphic cards, but the built was filmsy, design was flawed (wasn't able to mount large heatsinks), not to mention bad ventilation design

Reviews around space (3.80 of 5)

  • There is ample room for all of the necessary components and a fair amount of free space in front of the power supply and motherboard for you to put your cables
  • Mounting of 2 hard drives is difficult and space is limited.
  • He said it had just enough space for what he wants and fans are quiet
  • Graphics cards that have any part more than a centimeter above the top of the metal mounting bracket will not fit with the top panel closed.- CPU cooler space is limited
  • poor available disk space but nice quality would buy again

Reviews around fan (3.52 of 5)

  • As others have stated the fan filters require you to completely remove the fans to clean them
  • $25I tested the only working fan with all 3 motherboard connectors and it worked with all 3, unlike the 2 defective fans.
  • Functionality is wonderful minus the fan bays on the optical drive side of the case, it seems you have to remove a lot of the case parts to replace them and or clean the fans
  • I set the 3 fans and the CPU fan (Coolermaster Gemini S524) to silent mode and the fan noise difference is dramatic
  • Now as far as the noise factor, the fans of the unit aren't that loud for me, even in an open media center, but the fan on the GPU is noisier(my choice to have one).

Reviews around cable (2.22 of 5)

  • all this together.-here comes cable management... its a nightmare
  • Right angled cables are not your friend with this case.
  • My power supply is not modular, but had no problem storing my extra cables in the case
  • The 2.5" mount is right under a fan mount and only about 2 inches from the power supply so getting decent cable placement for sata and power to the drive was a pain in the ass.
  • This case will support a beast of a card but it will also sacrifice a lot of room for cables, as well as, at least, one of the 3.5 drive spaces

Reviews around paint (1.69 of 5)

  • I would rather the front of my case be clean black and not have your logo on the front that looks like it was just cheaply spray painted on
  • The paint is solid and deep, the finish excellent, and there's a more than good enough bag of extra screws.
  • This case will support a beast of a card but it will also sacrifice a lot of room for cables, as well as, at least, one of the 3.5 drive spaces
  • Second problem, is the paint on the case is bad, after around two weeks from using it, there are white lines and spots on the case from small touch with screw
  • The HTCP case has a quality build feel to it but the one that was shipped to me was had excessive paint over spray and orange peel

Reviews around heat (1.65 of 5)

  • HEAT is the computers worst enemy - if you can keep them cool they will have a longer life
  • rebuilt computer into this case with cooler master vortex heat sink cooler, corsair MX750 PSU with 5 120mm and 2 80mm case fans.
  • it puts out too much heat and without rear ventilation, I can't recommend it
  • With the two 120mm fans blowing into the case right near the RAM and the CPU, heating shouldn't be an issue.
  • This case will support a beast of a card but it will also sacrifice a lot of room for cables, as well as, at least, one of the 3.5 drive spaces

Reviews around drive (1.29 of 5)

  • The only drawback is that it only holds two hard drives and one optical drive.
  • (The Optical drive and two hard drives are installed on the other side.
  • Holds two 3.5" hard drives and one 5.25" optical drive (or whatever you want to put in the bay)
  • I built an HTPC with a solid state drive for OS/programs, and a RAID 5 for multimedia (movies, music, pictures, etc..)
  • I can hold 2 hard drives, an optical drive and a full size ATX mother board
