I was singing off and my dad and husband said it made me sound good but the best thing about the unit is the voice changing it makes men sound like women and vise versa!!
That said, 40 watts doesn't buy you much sound ... which could be a good thing if you like your music on the softer side.
The machine really has no downside, the song choice is unlimited thanks to YouTube, the components are top of the line and it is really simple to hook up and use

The mic stand is very flimsy, light weight, the phone stand doesn't go on firmly so it keeps on rotating, same with the part where the mic goes on, no matter how hard you tighten, it moves
