You can really feel the difference when using it as well as after
I recommend the idea, I doubt the exact product makes much of a difference so feel free to go cheap.
I flew Delta and had no problems using it on one of their new planes as well as on an older plane.
While this seems like a great idea ( and the actual product looks comfy), I just returned from a trip to Italy and could not use it at all on the Delta flight
Like the idea of putting the legs up during those long haul flights.

It was easy to adjust and worked well for supporting my legs and giving me a more comfortable sleeping position
I wasn't sure this was going to work, but on the long flight to So Africa from San jose, this offered a PERFECT alternative sitting position.
Even though I was not able to use this footrest the same way somebody more petite could, it made my flight a lot more comfortable, helping me to curl up into a more cozy position.
Very little back pain because I could keep adjusting it as well as my positioning: keeping my lower leg (between calf and ankle) supported, or sitting up to stretch my back with feet pushing down on sling and knees upright.

This footrest is the perfect thing for shorter people to bring on a long trip.
It's not useful and just one more thing to have to pack.

I get leg cramps on flights and restless legs and this seemed to help that issue as well.
There is not enough leg room on planes to use this item
I was able to sleep more comfortable as well as my legs and feet where not swollen when I landed.
While I always have enough leg room (only 5’3’’), I can never get comfortable enough to sleep and if I do I always get swelling and leg pain (the seat bed is always too long so puts pressure on my knees)
It’s nice because you can allow your legs to totally relax and “hang” versus trying to keep them propped up on your bag or laying in the floor.

Note: I have short legs 29" inseam... idk how this would work for someone with longer legs in the cheap seats but if you are
As others have mentioned be conscious of pulling on the seat in front of you when adjusting you feet/legs in it and don't have your feet/legs in it when lowering your tray table or it could jerk the seat in front of you
