If you balance your feet exactly over the midpoint, your feet/legs will be sticking out in front of you instead of being straight down in a proper posture.
My chair is just a little to tall & it's perfect for proper posture.

I had been looking quite awhile for a good foot rest, but the only ones I saw were either, too cheaply made, or the price was way out of line
However the review below is true, still love the foot rest, and will buy anotherWhile looking for a footstool I read a lot of reviews and found the reviews on this one helpful

Such a pity, because as I said, the height, design and style was perfect and I would have been singing praises for this item otherwise
It is light-weight, adjustable, and just the right height for under my desk
This foot rest is the perfect height (adjusted at the lower level) width, and length to comfortably rest my feet at my desk

I can smell it as I sit at my desk; while it's not strong enough to give me a headache, it is pretty noticeable.
Very sturdy and a good angle
Item is okay, not great. does not give a high enough angle to elevate feet while I'm working.
