A good deal if you are "bringing your own phone" to their (Tracfone) service.

I've been a Tracfone user for years, and it is a good deal, since I mostly use the cell phone while traveling.

I pick pre-paid plans based on what I feel like paying at the moment and, in hindsight, the plans always end up being a good deal, and most importantly the kids' phone service always works

Tracfone BYOP is the BEST deal around and easy to set up.

Same price for 3 different sized sim cards in BOTH CDMA and GSM as ONE card on Tracfone site, plus free shipping, as opposed to the $5 Tracfone wanted to ship one tiny $1 sim card.

By this time I needed a phone, and was tired of talking to Tracfone's tech support.

A "chat" with tech support produced steps to try, no luck.

Tech support has no accountability and is dangerously clueless/unskilled.

Tracfone tech support walked me right through and in a few minutes I using my new Moto G4.

Works as describe as long as you follow the instructions included, and the phone guidelines on tracfone's website.

The product was obsolete; it only was good for two major carriers, neither one of which had originated my phone

I had to talk to the horrible, horrible tracfone customer service.

Their service is horrific and their online techs don't listen to what you are saying.

The service is great however and there is an app to tell you how much data and how many minutes you have remaining

Sim card worked just fine, but my minutes from the old phone did not transfer

So, looked to be either a programming issue on the tracfone side or another bad SIM card

Beware the sim card is for ATT only and will not work with Tmobile.

He just had to deactivate the phone, reactivate it with the correct sim card and all would be fine.

I called Tracfone and gave them the SIM card number, in a few minutes my phone was working and my phone number was ported from my old phone.

The TracFone web site is pretty clear about how to change your existing phone number to the new phone.
