Don't waste your money on this device!

I contacted Trax again hoping they would be willing to refund my money (at least for the prepaid service) or send me a new device.

this is by far the worst product (but one of the best marketing jobs, heads off to whoever created the video

The company has done an amazing job and they deserve consumer backing

If you actually want to lose somebody/something.....trax would do a perfect job.

The GEO fence was easy to set up, I could easily draw it to match our fenced backyard

The geo fences work well, but I don't always get notified when it crosses the zones

It is also lighter and less noticeable than other satellite dog trackers that have those large antennas on the collar and a large handheld receiver to track with instead of being able to use my smart phone and the TRAX app to track with.

But that is not a problem, if I am looking for my dog, at 10 to 20 feet, I can see him or hear him!The entire app is easy to use, downloaded it to my smart phone and set it all up fairly quickly.

Not that i don't trust myself but quite handly for its size and it's easy use

Overall we are happy with TRAX, and are looking forward to more updates, as well as using it when we go on big hikes over the New Year!

Bought this for my mum's dog, it was a bit slow in the beginning, however, it does the job and the app is great

Although, I could also imagine some psycho stalker attaching it to a car and enjoying tracking whomever has captured his obsessions.

While the basic tracking has improved and gotten more accurate, it still just stops tracking randomly.

You have to attach the Trax device to the person/thing/pet that you want to *for lack of a better word*…track.

The easiest thing would be to use a clip or lanyard but that’s not going to fly with pets.

I imagine for someone paranoid with small kids this would be a nice thing to have.

I would say that's the most frustrating thing about this

: Forgot one very important thing - It works in Europe:) not just in US like all the other similar devices.

The edges of the case are rounded, fitting the tracker well and together, the tracker and case, are thin and lightweight.

We haven’t tested it out in thick brush/ woods situations yet, but the construction of the case looks like it should hold the tracker well

Customer support is responsive and friendly

This company has the right plan and software in my opinion, they are just at the beginning of this

The software was easy to use and the gps was very accurate and fast

It's time the Trax team offers all owners of Trax a refund and apology for marketing a product that doesn't provide basic functionality.

I'm not done with the company though; if I find they have a better product with better battery life and some Amazon reviews confirm this notion, I'd be willing to try it again.

I will write updates to this review as improvements are made (or not made).The biggest disappointment is that Trax is not being honest on its Website or in their marketing materials about what stage this product is in and that the product basically doesn't work yet.

: The product just doesn't work that well, especially for the price tag (I paid $250).

Tech support is not very responsive.
