I recommend U-turn Audio, not only for the quality of their product, but more importantly for the stellar support after purchase.

Not only was it ready to play out of the box, but the sound is fantastic, the player assembled together was beautiful, and the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge was amazing quality which allows me to hear every record clearly

The price is a little hefty and can receive more for less on the U-Turn website as this one does not come with the Ortofon 2M Red, but the quality is worth it

and if your looking for affordable quality I highly recommend this.

I can't say enough good things about Uturn as a company and this product in particular.

I feel like some things should come standard with a turn table thato costs 300 Bucks

Personally I'd pick this over the Carbon Pro-Ject due to the fact that it's an all American company (design and production) and absolutely outstanding customer service

Not only is it a very nice entry level turn table it is made in the United States, this did have a little to do with why I decided to buy this one but am glad I did because it is a very nice turn table for the money.

Simply put, U-turn makes one of the best products out there.

American made excellence and best product support ever when I bought another cartridge.

I do understand that this company is still fairly new and they do have a good product, but there is still lots of improvements to be had to make this a great product

Sadly, no other product out there has this problem

But if you're just getting into vinyl or don't have a lot of money to drop, the $179 Orbit is terrific and will make you very happy

I'm sure not every orbit arrives defective but to me it was worth the extra $100 to buy from a local dealer and the Pro-Ject is an amazing product

Bottom line, it's easy to recommend the Orbit turntable.

Regarding this turntable... I bought a less expensive table and was pretty happy with it

table has speed up and slow down problems after only two months of minimal use, however.

This table would qualify as a device with better quality manufacture and parts than the consumer stuff you'd see at a Best Buy (ie Audio Technica and those like it).

U-Turn will send you a free spare belt, but this will still leave you wondering why in 2017 it's so hard to make a quartz circuit to regulate the speed

Although it is possible to very delicately change the belt from 33 to 45 while the platter is spinning, if you play several 45s in a row, or leave the belt on for the night, the belt is going to fall off when you put it back to 33.

The belt however, does fall off occasionally, but it is extremely easy to place back on and get going

The fact that their own website says the belt will lose tension if left on the 45 setting for too long (in my experience "too long" seems to be 30 minutes) is a massive red flag

Also the belt is loose and the instructions are very lacking in detail.
