The connection with the RadioReference.com database works nicely--it automatically pulled up a LOT of frequencies, and the ability to select by service is very handy.
I've owned several Uniden scanners over the years and currently own the Uniden 436HP and the classic BR330T.
I also like the ability to pause reception by System, Department or Channel with a single touch.

is a very nice, well-built scanner with a ton of great features and probably worth the big bucks, but for me it didn't quite cut it
,i watched all the u tube videos about it ,its easy to use nice clear sound
The clarity is like their sitting next to you and it is very well built
I don't like these marketing practices, and I'm voting with my "stars".The scanner is well built, reasonably sensitive, easy to use, and well thought out and designed.

Universal has a fine antenna with the correct sma connector and swivel
This antenna is a little expensive, but worth it.
This is a scanner that you need if you can get the funds to purchaseWorks well in low freq areas and poor signalsSuggest a portal antenna to enjoy all it qualitiesVery clear and easy to setup and scan even if you have never used one before
But I recommend a better antenna if you want to use it at home on a desk.
I even sent away for a "Better" antenna which was like throwing $30 down the drain

Besides having a very readable screen, it can easily be moved between vehicles and home when needed when you have the appropriate mounts
This product was great at first, but then the screen became unresponsive
Love the computer screen compared to the old push button models.

It did not take long to get it up and running, programming was fast and simple, and the receiver seems very good as I am picking up transmissions from surrounding counties using the supplied antenna
