Depending on your technique this might be a good or a bad, but for my technique it becomes fatiguing when speed goes up, as I have to put more force in the down motion (at high speed rebound is usually not a problem, unless the surface is not appropriate).If you don't make use of the natural rebound of the stick much, I guess this stick could work for you, cause it comes back up into your hand quickly.
