and I was so concerned of the wood splinters and found this cute little ukulele and he loves it
know if it’s be the best ukulele to learn on from scratch for a beginner, but it’s a fun instrument to take on trips, and hiking, etc.
It’s a FUN little ukulele if your in the market for a instrument you won’t worry about getting damaged or wet
It's completely plastic so pretty much impossible to ruin and it really is capable of making a pretty nice tone (if a little toy-like) for a durable ukulele at this price.
It's tunable, and holds its tune; It's easily playable, the fretboard, bridge, etc. are all quite functional; It has sufficient volume, not particularly loud, but enough to be easily heard; The tone quality is "plastic" but not unpleasant, actually better than I had expected; It's tough, the plastic is strong and durable and I don't expect any breakage or cracking problems; The darn little thing looks cute hanging on the wall
Sounds less plasticky now and volume projects well
I do not have a wooden instrument to which I can compare the sound of this one, but the volume and intonation are nice, and I'm really enjoying playing it

Of course, it’s plastic and isn’t as rich a tone as you’d get from a wooden ukulele, but this little gem has a remarkably good tone -especially for the cost, and material
A person could start out and try the uke out for very little and still have a decent sounding and playing instrument, even with the kind of crummy strings that come with it
I really think that the Woodi sopranos are a great buy with a good sound if you don't mind the thicker neck.
I've heard video reviews on YouTube of really amazing uke players getting a really good sound out of the woodi which is mostly why I bought it.
Gold fret paint chips easily, but good, rich sound
And actually has a pretty nice sound even with the strings it comes with.
The strings are, as expected, cheap plastic nylon.
I said the plastic has distinct advantages for a kid, especially a new stringed instrument kid - no warping, heartier

It's not bad for what it is - a cheap plastic uke.
But then, again, it is what it is, a pretty nice sounding plastic Uke for less than fifty bucks.
