Purchased to recharge my Kindle while using it, this works exactly as expected.

The cord works great as expected, but is this some type of mechanism used to get customers to keep buying accessories for what is now a device you don't even sell?

Although this authentic cable by Amazon works well with nearly any droid device, any droid Micro USB cable from the majority of manufactures does not work easily with the Fire Tablets

I had to purchase a new cord which claims to be fast charging, so when I got it today, plugged it in, the kindle says I'm connected to a low power charger and will charge slowly while not in use, and I'm losing battery life while using!!

It will not charge if just laying flat, therefore I really believe it’s an issue of bad port design on the Kindle itself rather than the cables

The generic run of the mill cables,eventually, even if you can adjust them in a way to get your tablet charged, are going to ruin the port the small end goes in
