This is truly a disappointment because this phone has some really great features
Call Recording, Call Monitor, Call Whisper and Call Barge are other great features we use a lot
Many good features but would not purchase again because call recording inoperative when phone in use and because could not connect multiple lines and still have independent call recording
it's pretty much the same phone but some features are missing...again CALLER ID being the most important one to us.

I purchased them thinking that AT&T would have a good product, but that is not the case.
Great product and prices and great service, and would buy again

These phones are convenient to install with relatively simply menu functions but they lack caller ID and use of the MUTE function while on speaker-phone interferes with the sound quality of the incoming sounds

As with any phone in this price range, the speaker phone isn't the greatest, but, it does have a headset jack and for the money, it's a good value
I am on my second at&t 1070 "speaker"phone (returned the first because the speakerphone didn't work on it, and now have my second one with the same exact problem).
Menu navigation is not that great and the speaker phone is terrible on every phone

Was worried about the poor reviews but really was restarted how every phone was poorly rated across the board
I read the reviews of people complaining about the speakerphone
But I do believe, with AT&T, there is a higher risk of the intercom speaker system eventually failing - just based on our own 974/1070 experience, plus the reviews on this board.
The 1-800 number problems that other people have reviewed are not a problem.
I have read a few reviews explaining the problems with the speaker phone function but since i dont use that function that much I went ahead and ordered this

Gemini Industries has horrible customer service and if you have to contact by phone you will be transferred all over the place and on the phone for an hour with no resolve!!!!

Even after long power outages and for phones with dead batteries, the system comes up fine when power is restored - none of the programmed settings are lost.
The phone works fine even when the backup batteries go dead.
Only downside, the batteries die in about ten months in hands free units and need to be replaced
