It is about the size of say a standard political button and attaches to clothing or a backpack with a strong magnet (no pin).The front of the beam is a round digital display which you can fill with anything - favorite photos, your name, an icon for a favorite band or cause - really any graphic

I had it attached to my shirt with the not-so-powerful magnet it came with and it fell off, not so far as I was sitting down, but enough to crack the screen and render the whole thing useless

The BEAM is lots of fun and replaces a button or pin that you may put on your jacket with a small, dynamic, full color display

A bit plus, too, is the images on the button are sharp, the blacks are deep, and the colors are vibrant (24-bit), and the viewing angles are insane
