After over a year, the timer portion stopped keeping correct time but the company sent me a replacement right away.
The minutes get off over time, but it's really easy to change to the correct time.
It was easy to figure out how to set the timer and the mechanism works well, I just have to correct the current time occasionally, there's a little bit of "drift" there, but nothing major.
The timer side does not work at all, we have programmed it multiple times and it has failed each time
The timer works perfect, it hasn't lost time (slowed down) and seems to be heavy duty with everything I have plugged into it.
It's pretty sad when something like this can cause you harm and ruin a good day
By providing an competitively priced product, with the value added option of FREE NEXT DAY AIR, they were able to provide an unbeatable option to the 45 minute drive to my local grow store in sub-arctic temps & several inches of snow
This worked great at first but the timer has slowed down by a few hours every day :/
and it was working perfectly since then, day in and out.
Unfortunately, the timer made it two days before it started to slow and couldn't keep up with the time.
We bought it and used it for the first week and after the first week it started making a very loud noise
The noise is very minimal, its like a small, faint ticking noise, but since i sleep with a fan on, i can't hear anything
it does what it says but makes a very loud clicking noise that is annoying
out of the box, straight forward setup - looks good - plenty of outlets - price is right - I'm using 2 of these to cycle lights in a reptile room - 19 days in, one of the units developed a grinding/rattling noise (loud enough to hear it in the next room) - could temporarily stop the noise by giving it a little shake but the noise would return - the device is still working properly - not hot or doing anything that would concern me about a fire - my guess would be the timer mechanism is already failing - the second unit is still working fineUPDATE: 11/6/18 not even a month and both units are making a grinding noise
Within a week this started making a very loud clicking noise that could be heard everywhere in the house
This outlet works great, but I've only had it for less than a year and like so many reviewers have mentioned, it's started to make a loud grinding and clicking noise
This was great at first, but after a couple of months it has started to make an obnoxious grinding sound (the timer) and it's loud enough to interfere with my sleep so I can no longer use it.
As other reviewers have pointed out after a while something wears down and this starts to make a weird grinding noise
Very annoying, i can hear it while i am watching movies, its an annoying grinding sound.
Horrible grinding sound all the time, it's not fun to sleep next to, please make this right
It is a bit bulkier and pricier than a standard outlet strip, but it is ideal for my purposes and works great.
The first one I got kind of fell apart on me a little bit
The only caveat with this unit is that the pins that you must push up or down in order to establish time off and on are very small, and may be a bit harder to deal with if you don't have good fingernails as I do
the next cycle! This is a bit wider and bulkier than similar models
My only negative is that the black notches on the outside of the timer that control the on/off timing are a bit difficult to see and are tight against the outside circle.
