So you can attach any external microphone for better audio quality
Photo and video quality is good, but the camera is annoying to connect to cell phones, and continually disconnects so you have to reconnect every time you want to use it.
The quality is good but the missing image stabilization is noticeable
The camera base is quality and very sleek love the mat finish
Add in the fact that you can now also record good quality audio with the built in mic jack and you've got yourself a bit of a winning video camera
This means much sharper pictures ,since the faster the shutter speed,the sharper the picture
I look forward to the wonderful pictures I will take with this camera
It's lightweight and small but still is easy to manipulate and takes great pictures
This was my first DSLR, I have had much luck with my previous point and shoots, but never realized how easy making nice pictures could be with the right tool.
I read like 5 or 8 pages of the manual and was able to pick it up and go, could prolly get better pictures if i read more of it though lol
But this is an affordable DSLR in Canon’s Rebel series, so it’s not intended for some of the things that the more expensive Canon cameras are intended for
Excellent first DSLR!Really small and lightweight (compared to others DSLR).The video stabilization is not as good as that of an iphone 7 or 8, but the picture quality is much better
Overall not just a great "entry level" DSLR, but a solid camera.
This is a great extra camera for advanced camera people, and a great first DSLR for beginners.

For stills the SL2 was fine, but it did chew through battery pretty quickly when shooting video, so I'd advise in picking up another battery from places like Amazon or eBay.—————————————————————Video

I so dislike LCD screens in bright sunlight and while the SL2 does have a rotating LCD screen, YOU get to choose which option you prefer
It's also a fully articulating screen as well which is great for getting your shots from different angels, whether thats from up high or down low or even flipped to the front which is brilliant for filming yourself, but we'll talk more about that later on

so it is less intimidating and obvious for people around me and also makes it easier to fit in a small bag while still being a full DSLR so that I can use an appropriate lens for the situation.
Lens it comes with is a great starter lens for any standard video, zoom on this lens is fast but not far.
I got this because it was the newest camera at the time, thinking if i got a good lens it could compare to a full frame camera
Our wi-fi is not very good and the app didn't work, but I have the JJC JM-C(II) wireless remote control and that works great for me.
Still the Canon sounds fine if you don't push the premplifier hard as signal to noise is merely okay as DSLRs go in this class
It has a lot of the features of more expensive Canon DSLRs, but the 9 autofocus points (only one cross type) and extremely small buffer let it down for me
