Reviews around racer (4.59 of 5)

  • Probably the best racer I have played ever and its only getting better with time
  • I am a big racing fan and I can say without a doubt the game is an amazing racer
  • Yet it's still not as plain-jane and boring as I found Gran Turismo that restricted you to realistic race tracks and overly accurate physics
  • Great racer if you are a racing fan but just don't expect a GTA or forza
  • granted, I love simulation like GT and Forza, but I also love more Arcade racers like Need For Speed and Tokyo Xtreme Racer

Reviews around look (4.40 of 5)

  • Driveclub is first and foremost a great looking game, everything else is average or above average
  • I had to turn my TV to its brightest setting to make the graphics look halfway decent in daylight, but still the scenery is always muddy-looking and dull
  • But if you can tolerate the lack of options, lack of features, lack of customization, lack of replays, lack of split-screen, relatively small selection of cars, the sometimes broken servers, and the brutal AI, then what you have is a good looking racing game with solid controls.
  • This is a gorgeous looking game, and I really do enjoy the time trial mode.
  • The only reason this game was given two stars instead of one is due to the good looking environments

Reviews around graphic (4.29 of 5)

  • It has the best, most beautiful realistic graphics and sound than any other racing video game to date
  • I bought this game because of the potential it has the graphics are great
  • Very good graphics and gameplay on point best racing game for PS4
  • Yet it's still not as plain-jane and boring as I found Gran Turismo that restricted you to realistic race tracks and overly accurate physics
  • The graphics are visually stunning, and just like many have written, the weather effects are amazing.

Reviews around sound (4.18 of 5)

  • The sound is not so good especially if you like to manually shift the gears you can barely hear the sound effects of the car
  • And the sounds are recorded by professional audio engineers, not like this jokers at Forza who put reverb on everything.
  • But, like my issues with the GT series, the sound from the soundtrack (Forza is guilty of this too in my opinion mostly)
  • Great controls, great graphics, great tracks, good sound
  • First off, the cars sound fantastic, whatever crew was responsible for the audio engineering in this game deserve a medal because this is easily one of the best sounding racing games I've ever played on a

Reviews around drive (4.12 of 5)

  • The driving of the vehicles is enjoyable, and pretty realistic and the graphics are pretty good
  • -Horrible driving mechanics (gta V has better car physics and handling)
  • Besides that though, the graphics really are pretty amazing and the driving is not too bad
  • The thing is, the game can't distinguish between your bad driving and the AI's bad driving
  • The penalty system mixed with the strange driving physics makes this game very uninteresting and a chore to experience

Reviews around weather (3.96 of 5)

  • 2 months after launch they've patched it and fixed the online issues and added some really intense weather effects
  • Oh, and the weather effects, those sweet, sweeeet weather effects that were missing at launch, have now been added
  • I highly recommend this game and set up a race with dynamic weather at 17:00 in Canada on the pass.
  • Gameplay is very fun and enjoyable, but the real selling point to this game is the absolutely stunning weather and lighting effects, simply incredible
  • I have seen no game even approach this day to night transition here with dynamic weather and lighting like this

Reviews around play (3.75 of 5)

  • This game is more like Project Gotham Racing 2, so if you have ever played (and enjoyed playing) that, this will hit the spot.
  • Overall this is one of the best racing games I've ever played
  • I try to enjoy it but something boring as you select the car and get in
  • Yet it's still not as plain-jane and boring as I found Gran Turismo that restricted you to realistic race tracks and overly accurate physics
  • I gave 2 stars one for the time I wasted playing this game and 2 for the money I wasted on buying this game.

Reviews around track (3.49 of 5)

  • Points are taken from you if someone rear-ends your car, the tracks do not encourage high speeds as they have VERY tight turns and the high-end cars have their Top Speed stat near max
  • Physics that are from who knows WHAT universe but its NOT this one, cars that handle like frozen dog poo on ice (well your car anyway physics DONT apply to the computer cars they are superglued to the track), the WORST tracks EVER (not ONE track has less than 3 chicanes most have 8 or more LAME) what they call "dynamic weather"
  • It's a solid game with the best graphics hands down, fun tracks, and interesting mid race challenges.
  • The tracks are fiction in comparison to project cars but they are fun and challenging
  • Yet it's still not as plain-jane and boring as I found Gran Turismo that restricted you to realistic race tracks and overly accurate physics

Reviews around car (3.48 of 5)

  • You can change each car's paint, so you end up racing against some really ugly cars
  • The game is straight forward: drive beautiful cars fast and with style
  • But the cars handle bad even with the racing wheel, not very well thought out racing game
  • The cars handle well and strike a nice balance between arcade and sim-style racing games
  • If tuning your cars all day (Like I Love) then this may not be for you

Reviews around driveclub (3.27 of 5)

  • DriveClub should've been delayed a few more months to iron out the kinks, but it wasn't and we're a month after its
  • Second, this is its own unique game; expecting DriveClub to be just like another racing game you played is idiotic
  • Driveclub is a real gem, its an arcade racing game with incredible brushes of realism
  • Driveclub is first and foremost a great looking game, everything else is average or above average
  • After playing FH2 for a week with a TX wheel, I can't believe how inferior DriveClub seems even with the T300RS wheel

Reviews around time (3.26 of 5)

  • Varied race options (time attack, fastest lap, drift, etc.) and locales, which also change dynamically from day to night
  • I have wrecked several times because i get distracted with my surroundings when i race.
  • The 'just one more' feeling to break your best times is here and alive in this game more than any other I have played in a LONG time

Reviews around point (2.54 of 5)

  • is a matter of becoming a better driver and racer, but instead just by continuously gaining experience points to gain levels until you eventually gain newer and better cars to eventually win races
  • I was stuck trying to beat the semi-pro race until I got enough points for a better car, so there is some grinding for better cars to beat the single player races
  • and when you hit them you lose points and have a time penalty
  • it is okay, man I was disappointed, first with the need for speed- that is one of the worst games in history, ow this, it is lame, dont buy it now, wait a few months and pay half the price.the races are hard, well, when playing the computer, the computer cars run into you causing you to run off the road or simply wreck, you lose points for them hitting
  • You lose points and are unable to accelerate if you make a strong crash or cut a corner in this game, although, at times you can totally smash opponents, grind walls and cut corners to optimize your entry and exit speeds without a penalty

Reviews around server problem (2.28 of 5)

  • To me, I love it; my favorites cars are primarily Europeans (I do love my GT-R though), so this doesn't bug me, and plus I assume that in later expansions there will be more cars coming, such as an American Muscle pack, a Japanese car pack, and so
  • i would recommend it now due to the fact that their server problems is not as bad as it was when the game first launched.

  • I had the fortune of purchasing this game after the server problems had been fixed
  • This may have been due to an internet connection on their end or due to some server problems, I don't know

Reviews around money (1.95 of 5)

  • These guys need to put more work into the video games and stop wasting our money and time.
  • I'm glad I finally let instinct kick in (unfortunately, after wasting my money on The Crew, but that is for another review)
  • Until then safe your money or wait till the free version comes out for PS+ members
  • Got it from ps store for 20 bucks yesterday including season pass and 78 cars, money well spent,i love nfs but this game is well made look way better and so many car selection including European vehicles such as Peugeot and Renault
  • the graphics look cute but the rest of the game is bad, dont waste your money.

Reviews around ai (1.80 of 5)

  • The AI is aggressive but if you race clean, you'll earn a victory
  • The AI is terrible, very aggressive will follow the racing line to the letter, and ram you out of the way causing you race penalties
  • The AI in Driveclub is either really aggressive or really stupid, I can't tell which
  • The AI is super aggressive and I get into rage mode when bump me our of the road
  • I think the penalties are just lazy short cuts to actually improving the AI, Driving physics, and track design

Reviews around review (1.78 of 5)

  • One way to spot a fake review is if they moan about the graphics
  • no one should trust one star reviews unless the reviewer has a very good reason to state why they think the product is a failure
  • Also ignore the 1 star reviews none are verified purchases and are just hating
  • If they would have spent some more time and made it more towards arcade or simulation, this would be a four star review easy
  • To me, I love it; my favorites cars are primarily Europeans (I do love my GT-R though), so this doesn't bug me, and plus I assume that in later expansions there will be more cars coming, such as an American Muscle pack, a Japanese car pack, and so

Reviews around launch (1.59 of 5)

  • I really don't think this game was meant to be released as a launch title more like something to look forward to later.
  • The launch of this game was a disaster, but all issues have been fixed and it's an amazing game.
  • Almost a full week in now since launch and barely any progress has been made on the servers
  • Driveclub is a perfect launch game in that it is a showcase of how pretty PS4 graphics can look, it has achieved its purpose as such
  • DriveClub is a fantastic racing game haunted by the ghost of its disastrous launch

Reviews around server issue (1.47 of 5)

  • Server issues, multiplayer problems are still being worked on as of 10-23-14The Game it self is Great and lots of fun
  • With some issues, such as the server issues currently, lack of customization, drifting problems, and slightly overly aggressive AI, this game still comes out strong and fun in my opinion
  • It's not a finished game, but I paid a finished price, and if they don't resolve their server issues soon, I'm finished
  • As far as the online features go, the game has been plagued with server issues since its release
  • Even after the server issues have been resolved the game is still not what they promised

Reviews around screen (1.33 of 5)

  • Great Game, It would be better if let you play Split screen with a friend
  • It doesn't offer split-screen local multiplayer, though.
  • My kids wanted to play with me, so I tried to find a split-screen local multiplayer mode, but alas, there isn't one
  • Though the lack of split-screen multi-player is a disappointment, overall DriveClub is a great racing game and a must buy for PS4 racing fans
  • DriveClub does feel great, but I was looking forward to having some split screen mode local to play with family and friends rather than always playing with people I don't know or strangers online

Reviews around wall (1.00 of 5)

  • You lose points and are unable to accelerate if you make a strong crash or cut a corner in this game, although, at times you can totally smash opponents, grind walls and cut corners to optimize your entry and exit speeds without a penalty
  • There are invisible walls that appear to be made of rubber on either side of the track the serve no other purpose than to send you into the wall on the other side
  • Also there is no need to even steer since there's invisible walls on each side of the track... basically you could just floor it without steering, hit the walls without slowing down, and still cross the finish line...
  • Invisible walls can only go off the road a couple feet on most tracks
  • There are invisible walls making me feel like I am 6 years old playing with bumper lanes when I bowled

Reviews around sony (1.00 of 5)

  • Sure, the game can’t get online for any length of time and the gamers who purchased PS+ exclusively for this title (which, if you have a PS4, there is absolutely ZERO reason you should NOT have PS+, DRIVECLUB is just a bonus) have a legitimate grievance with Sony’s aloof tech updates
  • The shortcomings led to mediocre review scores from critics and forced Sony to indefinitely delay the long-promised free version of DriveClub for PS Plus subscribers
