Reviews around saxophone (4.59 of 5)

  • if you want a bad saxophone, this is for you
  • I have to agree with him that this saxophone is easier to play and sounds better than the supposedly $1600 one that I’ve been renting
  • This saxophone is great for the price, not the best quality
  • This us a really bad saxophone
  • Great saxophone for my daughter to learn to play on and cheaper than renting from a music store for the year

Reviews around purchase (4.53 of 5)

  • She had been playing the flute for the last 3 years and wanted to transition to a different instrument for High School, as well as have better opportunities to partake in the regional Jazz band (limited positions for flute).
  • It plays well with their reeds as well as with a fibracell synthetic, and with their standard mouthpiece.
  • With the stock mouthpiece low D and C were hard to impossible to play
  • I would recommend a purchasing a separate mouthpiece, the cheap plastic one that comes with it just wont get the job done, and a separate neck strap as the one that comes with it isn't very comfortable.

Reviews around sound (4.37 of 5)

  • The sound is not so bad, but ordered a brand new for the full price and it arrived a scratched instrument, the octave key does not work, 😣😣😣
  • Otherwise, plays nice, has a decent sound, definitely not a professional sax, but a great sax to get started on.
  • it is in tune, has a clear sound, and the action is great.
  • The reeds that it comes with are terrible and the sound that comes out sounds bad
  • The SAX has a great sound and it was well worth the price.

Reviews around product (4.16 of 5)

  • I really like the product as far as tone they easily can compete with my Yamaha 855
  • I would love to purchaseother Glory products based on this representation
  • The processing of registering the product can take up to 5 weeks or in this case maybe 7 weeks and nobody wants to wait that long to return a defective product
  • With the stock mouthpiece low D and C were hard to impossible to play
  • I would have never purchased the product (Glory Alto Saxophone) had I known that it was so junky and would stop working in less than 2 months

  • The case is a nice hard case and has much of what you need to get started

Reviews around instrument (3.96 of 5)

  • Like you, I wondered "What kind of crappy instrument could you put together for less than $300
  • Otherwise, the instrument looks great and plays beautifully.
  • Beautiful instrument, but the b-flat keys on the upper part of the horn were sticky on both of the two saxes I received
  • One fall could probably shatter the instrument, rendering it unusable
  • Getting back into the sax from years of personal neglect, what a great instrument.

Reviews around horn (3.64 of 5)

  • THIS horn blows great , right out the box the horn was in tune
  • The horn itself, has a little more resistance than most student models
  • I've been playing since 83' and this horn is good to me!
  • With the new mouthpiece this horn plays as well as my old Yamaha and is a good learning horn for my son.
  • It confirms my intent to source my own brand through these guys I found, as this is not even their best or most expensive horn.

Reviews around price (3.29 of 5)

  • I read all of the mixed reviews but with the cheap price & the beauty of the sax I bought one
  • I cannot speak for the other Glory horns as they are cheaper price and different design, but this one is a beauty so far.
  • Great price and quality for a middle schoolers intermediate instrument.
  • I found this price and fell in love only to discover that the saxophone is broken and the middle side key is pushed down all of the way and now have to tape it up until i get the chance to get it fixed.
  • It’s beautiful and works very well!!I had doubts since the price was so much cheaper then rent to own through school, but I’d buy this one again in a heart beat!!
