The Vive Deluxe Audio Strap provides integrated earphones with great sound quality so you will have a more convenient VR experience. The earphones offer height and angle adjustment to best fit your ears and are easy to put on and take off as well.
It's nice to have integrated sound, but the headphones aren't as good as and don't block out as much ambient noise as and are less comfortable than the $15 headphones I was using previously
However, the audio is clear, it doesn’t sound as loud as separate headphones or the competitive headset

The new strap makes wearing the headset for longer periods of time more comfortable, and the audio is surprisingly good

This takes the Vive from OK to just about perfect as far as ease and comfort goes
The "Vive Deluxe Audio Strap" is ergonomic support that surpasses the original version (which did not include audio), which offers great comfort for VR testing
It improves the comfort and usability of the Vive soooo much
The Deluxe Audio Strap really improves the comfort and makes resizing for different users quite easy
It even has an adjustable knob on the back, exactly like PSVR
There is also an adjustable knob that you can turn to easily adjust the headset for snugness
The knob on the back is so much better than the easily-worn velcro adjustment of the original and having the headphones built-in is a lot better than separate
The knob on the back made it very easy to quickly attach the Vive to coworker's heads while giving them the ability to tighten the knob further so the Vive wasn't loose on their face
Instead there is a convenient twist knob on the back of your head that secures it to your head
A worthwhile upgrade to the cheap strap that comes with the HTC Vive.
Best upgrade should come with the vive by default for the price you pay
If you don't like the fit of the original HTC Vive strap or don't like the idea of wearing earbuds that seem to get tugged while you look around, then this upgrade is for you
This upgrade makes your Vive experience INFINITELY better and more comfortable
It's both the improved head strap and the headphones together that makes this a worthwhile upgrade.
more secure fit, much easier and faster to take on and off, not quite worth 100 bucks though
Installation was easy, the fit is far superior to the original harness and it is much easier to take on and off a lot as you need to do when developing VR apps
The standard one is a little easier to get a proper fit, but this one is much easier for allowing others to try the headset for the first time

Unfortunately, the sound quality is laughably bad and sounds like the Wii remote speakers.
The sound quality of the headphones is decent, it'd be nice to have a full over ear option for better isolation.
Audio quality is good enough, and it's really convenient.
Good sound quality and way more convenient that attaching my normal over the ear headphones.
I use a wireless Sennheiser Over Ear Headphones and I initialy intended to keep using them with the new Vive Deluxe Strap because I assumed that the audio would be some cheap low quality headphones
The strap is what makes the Vive feel like a complete product
Absolute must have, huge improvement and makes the vive an even better experience.
At that time, it was a lot easier to justify the cost, but now that the Vive is much cheaper the price of this accessory really stands out as being far too high
The new audio strap remedies all these issues and while the Vive itself never felt "cheap", the audio strap adds a sense of premium (at least in my opinion)
