So now that we got that out of the way, let's talk about how the Jabra Elite 65e is really a nice pair of halo earphones

I am not an audiophile but have had enough different pairs of headphones through the years to gauge what I like

My current favorite is a pair of Bose QC 35 over the ear headphones

I like to feel the music and even though these work good for wireless if sound is important than I’d go with something by Beats or Bose.

Music also sounds good with the equalizer in the sound+ app allowing adjustment to meet individual needs.

I'm not sure whether it's just the stable design or whether the ANC is filtering out jostle noise, but it's great, and as peaceful as wearing a full set of over-ear cans with ANC.Battery life is quite good (8 hrs with ANC on), no doubt due to being able to pack a larger battery into the yoke

On the surface, Jabra Elite 65e could check all the boxes of what I was looking for: a good set of earphones that have active noise canceling, bluetooth, multi-device connect, good mic for calls, wireless range, decent battery life, and I happened to like the neckband setup.

Sound quality - charging time - usable charge life - reliable connectivity - user interface: all are outstanding

Knowing what level your battery is is very helpful and these earbuds give you audio prompts for the different levels of the battery status (while other wireless earbuds have only warned me when the battery is low, and often by then it was an inconvenient time to charge

I am a Bose guy but bought these because the salesman told me that this brand and model had superior microphone technology, which is important to me.

Also, though I love the way the headphones can be customized, having to download and use an app to do so, just seemed tedious

This headset is a good way to get into around-the-neck noise canceling headphones without spending hundreds more

The best way I can describe the difference between these Jabra Elite 65e earbuds and others I've used in the past is like going to a nice movie theater with surround sound so nice that the trailers before the movie have you say "whoa," compared to watching a movie at home with a mid-priced surround sound system that just doesn't have the same impact, depth, range, or feel

I received my Jabra Elite 65e yesterday and had a chance to play around with them a bit.

Nice deep bass and the treble still comes through without the app, with the app the sound is fully customizable

I like the marginally more bass these have than the Bose

Battery lasts long and the bass is cool

I can't say that the Bose in-ear are better since I don't have them yet - I'll probably place my order for the Bose once I receive confirmation of my refund for these disappointing ear buds

For background, I REALLY enjoyed the Bose BT set that is about identical to these (QC30)

Also, neckband is not as soft, rounded, or flexible as bose and didnt feel right on my neck.

They are comfortable to wear - even for long periods of time - and the quality of both the sound and mic are excellent

the Bose QC30 was 90% of the way to the perfect BT set for me, but the mic quality made calls impossible

An odd quality revealed itself when I realized the substantial oval cross-section wires “humm” in the wind

Sound quality is quite good, and the active noise cancellation is excellent

Overall quality appears excellent - though time will tell

I have somewhat sensitive ears and it was wonderful to remove the harshest part of the loud humming of the jets

The included ear buds, for getting a perfect ear fit, just didn't work for

If you try the ANC without music and you press the buds deep into your ear you might notice a very small, almost undetectable change and you'll have to strain your ears to notice it too

The only problems, my ears tend to sweat, and they mess up how my glasses sit on my ears

About an hour into my movie my ear started to hurt from the earbud
