Reviews around tone (5.00 of 5)

  • This is a great Harp, it plays very nice, very bendable, tone was good
  • There is clear quality in the construction and the tone of all of the standard notes that a diatonic harmonica / Blues Harp are supposed to play
  • They last the longest, have the best tone, and are the easiest to play, once broken in, of any harp I've played.
  • I would have to say that the tone is most exciting for me
  • It is so easy to play, has fantastic tone and superior construction to the comparable Hohner Special 20 Marine Band harmonica

Reviews around construction (5.00 of 5)

  • It has a strong solid construction almost as strong as the Seydel, and replacement reeds are available.
  • A loud harp with great construction and fully replaceable parts if you manage to break or wear it down.
  • It is so easy to play, has fantastic tone and superior construction to the comparable Hohner Special 20 Marine Band harmonica
  • The sound of the reeds is warm and strong, and the overall construction of the piece itself is simply great

Reviews around melody (5.00 of 5)

  • To make long story short, I bough Hohner Golden Melody on Amazon
  • I have used a variety of Hohner Special 20 and Golden Melody harps.
  • All of these are easier that the Golden Melody in general.
  • It wasn't until I got my second harmonica (a golden melody) that I realized how nice this style is
  • And a week later, when Golden Melody arrived, it did not stand the competition.

Reviews around lee (5.00 of 5)

  • In essence, like a first girlfriend or a first car, the Lee Oskar harmonica in the key of C holds a special place in my heart
  • But alas, the secret E# and F# on holes 4 and hole 5 are too important to me
  • But alas, the secret E# and F# on holes 4 and hole 5 are too important to me
  • In terms of construction I would put it in a close draw with the Seydel (the Hohner Special 20 is lighter and doesn't feel as solid as the Lee Oskar or the Seydel)
  • I play this Lee Oskar from 2015 and it's still working perfectly.

Reviews around thing (4.40 of 5)

  • These things are built like a tank and sound wonderful whether playing through a mic/amp or just lazing the day away under a tree.
  • The nice thing about Lee Oskars is that the replacement parts are easily and readily available (at least here in the US) so if you accidentally mess up something, you can easily replace it
  • And, if I need to, there are a couple of songs I've found in G (e.g., Work Song by Butterfield).
  • When things are the most boring, waiting for a train, etc.
  • I've only been playing the harmonica for 2 months now after starting with a Hohner Golden Melody G that my mom gave me after my Dad passed away.

Reviews around price (4.30 of 5)

  • But alas, the secret E# and F# on holes 4 and hole 5 are too important to me
  • : Great value, not perfection but sexy body and fulfilling sound with awesome price tag, especially used
  • If you want a serious harmonica without a serious, outrageous price, this is one to get!
  • I'm not familiar with any higher quality harmonicas, but as far as this Lee Oskar model, it is perfectly functional if you're willing to sacrifice perfection and a little time getting used to it for a much cheaper price tag.
  • As long as Lee Oskar maintains their quality and a reasonable price, I won't go back to any other!

Reviews around harp (4.08 of 5)

  • i upgraded from a real cheap harp and this was well worth it
  • Have had this harp for over a month and so far, so good.
  • I picked up a Horner special 20 as well, but I prefer this harp.
  • It is head and shoulders above the "cheap" harp and a lot easier to play.
  • It is well constructed and a great harp to get started with.

Reviews around oskar (4.01 of 5)

  • The reviews are almost all positive, and Lee Oskar is a name I can trust in the harmonica business
  • and I can find no fault with the Lee Oskar Harmonica
  • The Lee Oskar is easier on the lips (and tongue, although I'm mostly still puckering and not really tongue blocking yet).
  • Really disappointing since my other Lee Oskar's sound great.
  • (other mics are available, but these are my favourites)And expect to get a blister on the tip of your tongue to start with - another thing that is less prevalent with the Lee Oskar since the plastic tongue board is kinder than the wooden Hohner ones I have played (you use the tongue for blocking notes whilst playing others and for some trills)Have fun - and remember that a Lee Oskar might be more costly, but it will last (apparently) for ever, and will make you sound better as a beginner

Reviews around instrument (3.96 of 5)

  • Amazing soundWhy this beautiful instrument isn't used more is
  • Disappointed, such a simple instrument should not fail that fast I would think
  • Let me tell you there are a lot of notes hidden within this small exterior just waiting to be extracted after some practise - and it is the ability to bend down to notes that gives this ultimate blues instrument the maudlin sound necessary for layin' back in a rocking chair and mourning the death of yer best
  • This Lee Oskar Harmonica is an absolutely beautiful instrument
