By no means do I have the discernment (or budget) to need audiophile-quality speakers so, given the price and all of the positive reviews, I was confident these speakers would be a great buy for my family media room.
I turned on my cheap 10 year old Best Buy purchased AIWA 100w receiver, (I think 50/chanel) amp)
I have seen many speakers and for the price and quality, these are a smart buy
This speaker isn't going to over-power or blow you away, but still a good buy for the bargain price.
Can't beat the sound at this price point, which makes it a good buy especially if you have many rooms to wire up like I do
I was attracted to these speakers due to the positive reviews and very low price point.
Bought these based on price and great reviews they received

Based on the great reviews & low price, we bought these for our family room.
After install and setting up my receiver, sound was very clear and
They're an install easy, sound great and give off lots of volume.
2 of the 6 arrived with the tweeter not installed and/or broken; the tweeter cone was hanging out of the speaker merely by the wires
Easy install and they sound and look great in the ceiling
The initial fit of the screw is very tight, and the first time you'll have to put some pressure on it or the screwdriver will slip and strip the screw - in a drop tile ceiling that doesn't work well (unless you remove tile, install, then reinstall tile + speaker in one piece).
Installation was not difficult and directions were simple to follow
Installation was hell because of the fireblock in the wall to fish my cables down but the template that came with the speakers were spot on and can even be cut out more to fit inside the speaker so you can paint the exterior which is very thoughtful
Installation: Very easy with included template and instructions
I'd have given them a four if the installation (I put in 4) hadn't been so frustrating
Read the installation instructions carefully and make sure there isn't anything in the walls (like a vent pipe) that will obstruct the installation
Nice crisp sound, reasonable bass, and good separation.
However, the speakers have a very impressive bass response on their own.
I kept reading the bass was terrible in these I think they are pretty good for in wall speakers there not as good as a couple hundred dollar pair of floor standing speakers but for the price they are great
The bass is good and highs are nice and clear without a metallic sound.
Nice bass response and the highs sound great with the nice tweeter
The only thing I would change is the grills, they are a bit tricky to reinstall after they were removed.
just a bit more crisp, clear highs and the soundstage and stereo imaging was a bit more defined, but considering the price of these, they produce amazing sound.
I see myself as a bit of a stereo enthusiast, and these didn't disappoint.
The "problem" that we had with the bass thumping a bit upstairs is essentially a good "problem" to have as these speakers really do produce a crisp low end bass.

You are not going to shake the house with bass but they sound good for non-critical listening
I like loud and clean music and with my 15" sub, it fills the whole house.
and I tend to disagree, there isn't really deep bass that will shake your house so you WILL need a subwoofer if you're looking for that, but I wasn't expecting these to replace a subwoofer

I tried a couple of other speaker brands such as the cheaper Pyle speakers which don't even come close to the sound quality of the Micca's
I'm even using a little cheap Pyle in wall amplifier unit to power these and they sound very good.
I went over budget with a pair of the more expensive brand (P__k) got a pair of these and a center channel
