I was leary at first to order, seeing that the exploded view of the picture of the product clearly is one of a 16 gauge roll as opposed to a 12 gauge roll, as well as the fact that others have posted saying they actually received the wrong gauge wire

The reason I say "appears to be pure copper" is because I haven't done any tests on it; but I can see from using it, tinning it, scraping it that it is not CCA (copper coated aluminum).Maybe the people giving poor reviews bought theirs from a different vendor
