  • This is a very nice quality and poaches eggs perfectly.
  • But, just beware that you will likely need to replace it after a few months, or in the alternative buy a better quality poacher, if you want a poacher that lasts for more than one year.
  • Even when greasing, however, the pan is very hard to clean as there is egg residue on the pan that has to be scrubbed out.
  • As an engineer at a major medical device & pharma company, I have access to very expensive sophisticated test equipment, so I sampled some of the coating off of the surface of the poacher and tested it to determine the material as well as it's constituent components

Reviews around work (5.00 of 5)

  • I would prefer to use regular butter for health reasons but the cooking spray works best for eggs that slide right out of the pan.

Reviews around poach (4.84 of 5)

  • and I'm very happy with the delicious poached eggs it makes
  • My favorite eggs are poached and this pan makes it very easy to make the perfect poached eggs
  • it makes perfect hard, soft oil, eggs in the world easy to have a poached egg as well
  • It would have saved me from buying a more expensive egg poaching pan as it is just one piece that looked like it would just sit inside a regular pan
  • It still looks like new and makes the perfect poached eggs

Reviews around poacher (4.39 of 5)

  • My previous poacher is difficult to clean and the eggs get stuck
  • This egg poacher is easy to use and saves having to own another special purpose pan
  • As mentioned in other reviews, the poacher is kind of shallow
  • This egg poacher was easy to use with Pam spray and water boiling before the eggs were set in it
  • Was disappointed, Poacher pan works nicely as I have had smaller ones and this size is better.

Reviews around product (3.81 of 5)

  • Exactly two days after the return warranty expired, the screw holding the handle stripped, fell of and now the product is unusable
  • Love this product and figured out accidentally that it cleans better
  • This product, Norpro, was a completely inferior product that didn't even last a few months.
  • Terrible product - used it approximately 4 times and this morning instead of even attempting to clean the stuck mess, I threw it in the trash.
  • It is a little fifficult yo clean, just out of awkwardness, but overall I love the product

Reviews around time (3.77 of 5)

  • The first two times I’ve used it I had a real problem with the eggs sticking
  • You will have to experiment to discover the right cooking time for your stove and pan, etc.
  • The eggs slide right out (I use a little cooking spray) and are perfect every time
  • You really want your poached eggs to come out in one piece so they will look nice on your muffin or whatever, but my eggs stick every time and cleaning this thing is a real chore!!
  • Once you master these factors, you have perfect eggs every time!

Reviews around pan (3.75 of 5)

  • My favorite eggs are poached and this pan makes it very easy to make the perfect poached eggs
  • This cheap pan is a godsend if you want poached eggs for anything
  • For the less pleased reviewers, please use a nonstick spray to lightly coat the pan before you complain of sticking.
  • When you add food to a cold pan and then raise the heat, that's when you have problems
  • I had to make a few to get the timing down right, but this pan works well and cleans up easily.

Reviews around item (3.66 of 5)

  • I could not recommend this item.
  • I like that this one unit can make 4 eggs without separate containers as it's much easier to clean one item.
  • Based upon the materials used to make this product and the processes employed, this item is worth $2.00 at best
  • Love the item and cooks my poached egg perfectly however my item did not come with the little black lift knob like pictured
  • so I have a hardware coffee can with miscellaneous items and actually had a cute little silver knob that worked perfectly as you see in picture.

Reviews around handle (3.29 of 5)

  • Note the handle gets so hot you have to use a pot holder to use.
  • Also, the handle gets very hot (and has fallen off once already) and it's very hard to lift the poacher out of the pan of hot water with an oven mitt without dipping the oven mitt in the eggs
  • The handle fell off within 2 weeks but it still comes in handy.
  • the handle gets hot during use and I do not have small fingers

Reviews around yoke (1.00 of 5)

  • This poacher does not have standoffs to elevate it above the boiling water; thus it cooks the eggs from the bottom up and by the time the top of the egg is cooked the yoke is completely hard
  • This item cooks the eggs from the bottom up and by the time the top of the egg is cooked the yoke is completely hard and it is definitely not non-stick, even after oiling the cups.
  • The only problem with this poacher the yoke is over cooked and the white is not done
  • No worry about breaking the yoke or having trouble scooping the egg out of boiling water
