The free software that is available with the product is sufficient for her now with option to buy the full blown product if she continues on with this and needs more effects.

I should mention that the software makes it easy to create playlists for each of the tracks, and easily imports tracks of just about any format.

The performance pads are not velocity sensitive, which would be a nice feature, and the manual for the software is pretty bad (and comes in PDF format which you must download)

The turntables are responsive and you can get a great subtle or loud scratch effect with absolutely no delay.

To be fair, there is also a sync control for effect timing like echo, but this is standard and minimal.

The mechanics of this mixer are sound the sample buttons are responsive and all of the dials and sliders functional nicely and in combination for even cooler effects.

My son uses it and demonstrates with the right talent you can do amazing things.

The only thing that keeps the Jogvision from being much more useful, is the horrible placement of the second functions that prevent loops and effects from being used at the same time, or holding either deck's shift key, then the browse knob to adjust simple deck gain
