It is NOT a perfect fit for the iPhone 8+, but you can get it on your phone.
I think the fit wouldn’t have been difficult if the phone was a 7 series.
A week ago, my phone fell from the doctor's examining table on its back (covered by the case) onto the floor.
It does not have a cover for it, but it has a raised edge so it should not contact the table or ground if dropped.
Once thing that really annoys me is that the circle on the apple logo is not centered when you use an iPhone 8+, but annoying as that is it's not functional issue.

Sturdy construction and simple design enable the case to do a good job protecting an iPhone from damage resulting from being accidentally dropped on hard surfaces
Protection is great, I have dropped my phone a couple of times on hard surfaces, so it has that going for it.
I'm pretty rough with my phone and with a number of drops to hard surfaces and the phone and case still are working fine
Much darker blue than what’s available on Otterbox’s website.
I put my phone in the pocket of my light blue jeans, like I've done with every other phone and every other case, only to pull it out and the pink is now almost all a darker blue
Seriously only had this 2 days and my jeans bled the color blue
In the listing it looks dark blue and dark gray, but it is all blue and the same color all around.

Broke phone 2 times in 2 months since I’ve purchased this case and am deeply dissatisfied with the case, it does not protect ur phone from fall damage very well at all, and does not provide the protection that I payed for
That being said, it has kept my phone from harm in accidental falls and drops.
My screen only broke that time because my screen protector fell off (which I knew about) and I stepped on my phone while looking for it in a messy bedroom
The case is still perfectly in tact, it wasn’t a hard fall, but it didn’t protect my phone
