does the job well, full spectrum and has great recording value
I can't say how the microphone actually works as we didn't plug it in or anything, but for $3.99 I think this is a steal if you're looking for a cheap prop for a play, photoshoot, etc.
On the plus side, it does convert sound waves into electrical signals and will function if used with the supplied cable, from 6 feet away it looks like a pretty good microphone, and the price makes it a decent value.
Great value mic, personally have a full set of these for on-the-air backups of the condenser mics we upgraded to.

I received this mic as an addon item and i bought it because of the description.the description says "Durable Zinc Alloy Metal Construction"this is a blatant lie obviously.

Really though, any decent xlr cable with a rubber boot is all you need.
At this price though, the cable is really just a bonus.
Some reviews suggest it will perform better if you substitute a better cable, but we haven't tried that.

the other lasted 2 days ten fell apart at connect,,,,buyer beware!!!
Fell apart the first day that the kids used it and is now in the trash can.

They are cheap plastic, they have the on-off switch that works, and they sound just fine with a surprisingly little amount of feedback.
Also, it is very lightweight and cheap plastic, painted grey
