I've purchased two of these units for two dash cams and while one of them worked exactly as expected, the other was DOA and will not get power to the unit regardless of power source, to include direct connection with the battery
Works as expected, the thin wires are perfectly fine for a low power accessory like a dash cam, and are easily routed through the trim in the car
This was exactly what was needed and worked as expected.
Worked as expected to power the dash camera in my minivan.
I was disappointed to find out that even though the picture on this unit shows a right angle mini USB connector, I was sent one with a straight USB connector, which pushed my camera even further in a direction than I wanted to install it
The product shipped has a straight USB connector unlike the right angle connector shown on product picture
Once the install was completed, I found my dashcam mounted lower than originally expected thanks to windshield tinting, which left me wishing for a straight connector rather than a right angle connector.
Be aware that the Mini-USB plug is at a right angle, something that I was aware of at purchase
The right angle on the plug sounds like a good idea to give it a lower profile, but it also makes the side port (where the rear camera connects) unusable
I had to connect it to the fuse box under the hood so that the camera turned off when the ignition switch was off (the interior fuse box was hot all the time)
Rexing kit worked like a charm first time and every time so far.
No wires are visible at all like they are often times when you use the accessory plug.
It is ready to install, I díd take 10 minutes to install my dashcam

The quality of this product is good with exception of the undersized power wires that run from the 12v power source to the USB 5v converter box thats in the middle of the cord

Although this is great quality, I wound up not using it since the one already was using was basically the same thing
Tech said this was a very poor quality cable
The first one came with the correct "L" shaped USB plug
Also ordered add-a-fuses which were a waste of money because this kit came with the fuse attached to the live wire .. waste of extra parts

Excellent kit with more than enough wire for 2009 toyota highlander and very easy to install so it cannot be seen.
I came to the conclusion after two afternoons of trying to wire this product in ,and it working intermittently while driving me nuts, is that the kit is defective
When I replaced the kit with a different one the dash cam worked perfectly
It was great to hardwire the camera to the car and free up the lighter to charge my phone and bluetooth.
I had trouble figuring out where the wire to the camera came from as far as which side of the fuse terminals so that if one puts the fuse in 'wrong' the camera has no fused protection since it is possible to insert it so that the wiring would stay hot even during an overload event.
It made installing our new cameras very easy and straight forward
