Reviews around set (5.00 of 5)

  • THey are a great price and a great set of headphones for the price
  • On-ear headphones are for those people who still want a compact set of headphones, yet want to have good sound quality without sticking something in your ears
  • I decided to search google for a decent set of headphones for under $100 and these popped up on a couple of sites

Reviews around end (5.00 of 5)

  • no undue accent in any particular area of the spectrum; never a shrill or harsh note at the top end but
  • I eventually settled on the Grado SR60e's as my main listening phones, although compared to their progenitor, the original SR60's, the "e"'s had a shrillness at the top end that never went away, despite reassurances from Grado.
  • Compared to the Grado's, they lack a little punch deep, and their top end is a little veiled.
  • both low and high end, Grado, Koss, Sony, Audio Technica (the ATH M50 makes an excellent match for the Audioengine D1), and the Shure hold their end up well against some stiff competition.

Reviews around value (4.45 of 5)

  • Very good quality headphones and great value for money.
  • They have good-excellent sound (outdoors, I'm not looking for great sound), they're comfortable, they cover enough of my ears to offer decent sound isolation but not so much that my ears feel like they're in a microwave and at $40, an excellent value.
  • These trendy and stylish headphones are a great value and have impressive sound in this price range
  • Really disappointed as I don't have time to return and then again wait for a new one.
  • MyLast set went out and I decided to look at the best value for lower priced earphones

  • Cons:-Bass isn't it's strong point, may disappoint fans of Hip Hop, EDM music etc-Silver headband looks a bit toyish-A little flimsy, feels like it could break easilyIf your looking for a solid pair of headphones for traveling or light use these are for you
  • Again for the value, very good sound quality, especially the bass, good looking and very comfortable
  • They are very good looking for compact headphones as well with a shiny chrome, with grey earpieces and black cord
  • The sound is good and these headphones have a nice design look

Reviews around price (4.16 of 5)

  • My teenager really wanted this style of headphones, but the prices of some are outrageous
  • Unfortunately no one makes a wired headphone with high sound quality and a mic at a reasonable price anymore.
  • THey are a great price and a great set of headphones for the price
  • Great headphones, comfortable with very good sound at a reasonable price
  • You can't find this kind of sound and comfort for this great price

Reviews around phone (4.16 of 5)

  • I bought these when the last of my sennheiser px-100's bit the dust, and I found that its successor (and, indeed, most modern phones) boosted the midbass so artificially as render most music practically unlistenable.
  • I really like these phones and for the price they can’t be beat
  • I'd pass on these, the skullcandy phones at the same price are much better with regards to comfort and sound.
  • Anyhow, those phones developed a mechanical fault, and I went back to the Shures and you know what, they are really good.
  • The phones are very comfortable, but I find them slightlyon the small side

Reviews around bass (3.56 of 5)

  • The bass is a bit on the ‘tinny’ side meaning that sometimes the bass seems to fall flat while the other parts of the music keep going strong
  • (not wretched excess bass like Beats headphones, just a little more), and to my ears, these headphones need more punch
  • I tried some Beats EP, but the closed back and over exaggerated bass was a turn off
  • These headphones produce a crisp, clear sound, with a nice bass, are lightweight, and very comfortable.
  • The bass is nice and deep and you can also hear other things that you previously were unaware of in your music collection

Reviews around design (3.50 of 5)

  • I prefer a semi or full open back design as I like more detail and do not like heavy or boomy bass
  • no storage bag/case- unusual aesthetic design
  • Shure SRH145 Portable Collapsible Headphones are a sleek, modern design that fold for easy carrying
  • The sound is good and these headphones have a nice design look
  • The only design detail to complain about is the weirdly bulky headphone jack

Reviews around music (3.48 of 5)

  • Loud enough for me, but not might be loud enough if you like your music really loud
  • Hours of listing do not leave me with ear fatigue and they do not punish poorly recorded music
  • When I tried to listen to louder, more vibrant music, they just didn't work well.
  • I use it listen to solfeggio sound healing music on my iPhone!

Reviews around ear (2.16 of 5)

  • The headphones are extremely comfortable and have soft ear pads that feel very nice on my ears.
  • The right ear was making a scraping noise and the wire was rubbing my face.
  • Again, this isn't bad, but they start to hurt my ears after a couple of hours of use
  • The soft ear cushions are very effective in muting the outside noises and that allows the wearer to enjoy the quality of sound expected from Shure products.
  • The sound is already going out on the right ear 40 days in.
