It's not as sharp as I would like either and is also only 2.8 but does a much better job all around

Nice, thin lens for your NEX, and works really well with the ultra-wide converter (the only reason I bought it, I suppose, since the kit power-zoom does a decent job at 16mm)

I have used the lens with both my NEX-3, NEX5n and NEX-7, all with great results

But it does really decrease the size of the camera when it's on, and when combined with the VCL-ECU1 ultra-wide converter, the results are great

Otherwise you'd have to set the camera down or be prepared to have bad photos or have a tripod to have better photos.

Learn your camera and you will get better photos, from almost any lens, you put on the NEX 7.

I thought the camera was combersome and didn't take great photos, so I sold the whole system including this lens.

Since it is compact, bright (f/2.8) and have a good glass quality it has become my everyday lens for street photos.
