Super Mario Advance is a combination of a souped-up version of Super Mario Bros. 2 and an action-packed 4-player version of the original Mario Bros. arcade game. Whether you're playing alone or with 3 of your friends, Super Mario ...
This is also a great way to break into you game boy advance
In a way the game isn't challenging, but its fun anyhow
I get the novelty of this, and it -is- cool to see Luigi pull up a massive turnip at first, but the game was just fine the way it was before
For gamers who didn't play any of the Nintendo or Super Nintendo games, this is a great way to see what the older games looked like with new school style.
this one is great, the color is spectacular, a tip though when fighting Wart get as close as you can to him on the floor when a vegetable shoots out get it and run in between the bubbles that wart shoots i found this as a very easy way to beat
I really reccomend this game to anyone who likes ¡¡¡FUN!!!
For those that don't know, Super Mario Bros. 2 was a departure from the classic, standard setting original game, as Mario now pulled radishes out of the ground to hurl at enemies among other changes (the reason behind these is because the original Super Mario Bros. 2 was deemed too difficult when originally developed, so another in-development game got a Mario facelift and was released as Super Mario 2 here in the states, while the other Mario sequel would see somewhat of a release as Super Mario All-Stars on the Lost Levels segment), but despite it all, the game still offered some solid platforming action and fun.
Although disappointing that we never got a real Mario game for the Gameboy Advance, the Advance series holds its own as great portable Mario fun, although this strength is primaly found in the original games themselves
That's great fun, but the main reason I think that Nintendo put this on was to give the game a multiplayer feature.
I love the super mario games since I never had the Super nintendo
Mario 2 never kept track of score, and neither did the Super Nintendo version (in Mario All-Stars)
I loved the Mario games when I was a kid (still do!), but all these games are much more difficult on the GBA then the Nintendo
Contrary to the editorial review Mario 2 first appeared on the Nintedo console not the super nintendo, though an enhanced edition did apear on snes, this one goes far beyond that.
If Super Mario Brothers 2 was your favorite Mario game from classic Nintendo, then you have to get this game
The graphics are colorful, the sound is cool (Nintendo should have added more tracks to it though -.-) and has great gameplay
Based on the original Super Mario Bros. 2, this game provides great side scrolling gameplay for almost anywheres-your bedroom, the car, a friends house, (ect) since it's totally portable
so from what you can see, Super Mario Advance for Gameboy Advance is a great game with easy gameplay, great levels, and great updates
Only 3 levels are frustrating, great graphics, great sound and best of all great gameplay
the graphics are great but the gameplay is not at all like the other super mario brother games
But the icing on the cake for horrible things is that the characters talk
While jumping on something is probably a better way to defeat things then having to have to look around for something to throw at them (and I'm not the type who likes the idea that you have to depend on some form of item), but Super Mario Advance (which is conviently 2 games in one pack) keeps the veggies abundant and provides other ways to defeat enemies.
But the good thing about it was that it was fun to play when you got used to it.
The upsetting thing about the graphics is how tight the screen gets, especially when you're carrying a giant vegetable or a giant enemy.
The good thing is that you get to choose from four diffrent characters, Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad, and it includes the amazing Link It Up, which allows four players to play from the same
Yes, pretty much everyone who is a fan of Mario and Nintendo know SMB2 was originally released in Japan as a Famicom Disk System title called "Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic" and originally featured non-Mario characters; it has since been revealed by Nintendo that "Doki Doki Panic" actually began development explicitly as a sequel to the original "Super Mario Bros.", even before "The Lost Levels", but they were having issues with the prototype and ultimately released "The Lost Levels" as the followup.
I first encountered Super Mario 2 as a game on the Super NES, along with all the other games 1-3 and the Lost Levels.
This game was harder to master than any of the others (except for the Lost Levels) and I felt great when I did finally master it
Although gameplay was untouched in "Super Mario All-stars", all four games ("SMB", "Lost Levels", "SMB2", and "SMB3) were given extensive graphical and audio upgrades, with "SMB2" being the most drastic.

Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad adventure through an incredible fantasy world on a quest to save the day, with little more than vegetables with which to defend themselves
Unlike other Mario games where Mario defeats enemies by jumping on their heads, in this game Mario and pals have to pick up items and hurl 'em at their adversaries
Even enemies can be picked up and tossed across the screen, such as Princess Peach's ability to hover longer than any other character.

In Mario's debut on the Game Boy Advance platform, the swashbuckling plumber goes back to what he knows best: side-scrolling adventure
Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Toad wander this richly colored fantasyland to fight new and original enemies by collecting items to throw at them (alas, the famous jump attack isn't enough to dissuade these foes)
Players are allowed to choose which character they'll play as--you can even switch between levels--and each in the cast has different strengths
For example, Luigi can jump higher than his brother, Mario, but the plumber is faster
Super Mario Advance also has a multiplayer game where up to four Game Boy Advance units can be linked together via the separately sold communication cable, allowing you to wage friendly battles for collectible coins using Koopa shells.
