The newest chapter of the Paper Mario story isn’t just out of this world…it’s out of this dimension! What at first glance appears to be a 2-D sidescroller ripped straight from the stylized pages of the Paper Mario universe soon turns into a hilarious...
I want to start by saying I really enjoy playing this game
The music is Nintendo classic in appeal, the new characters just as eccentric as you've become used to, and the game lives up to everything that Mario games have become known for
All in all, Super Paper Mario is a well-rendered game for the Wii, and should entice new Mario fans, as well as those waiting Super Mario Galaxy
We are supposed to forgive poor graphics on the Wii, because it has innovative game play
Super paper Mario, while an RPG still holds many of the aspects I have always loved about Mario games, and ups the anti with an enjoyable storyline and inventive game play.
The amount of reading (instead of actual playing) that you do for this game is INCREDIBLE!The controls were clunky, the graphics were terrible, and the 3d was awful
The controls are pretty fluent, but through most of the game, you are holding the Wii-mote sideways, very rarely do you have to point the Wii-mote at your TV, you can aim the Wii-Mote at the TV, to make a cursor come up, and in-game, everyone will stop moving and you can point the cursor at enemies to gain information about them, or NPC's, and some items require you to point the Wii-mote at the TV.There are four characters you can play as at different times: Mario, Bowser, Luigi, and Princess Peach at different times
The controls are pretty basic and work well with the Wii's narrow controller.
The controls are perfect for the wii remote, and the dialougue is often funny.
Controls-10/10-Despite not using motion sensing, very sturdy controls
if you liked the previous one, you'll probably like this one as well
While the 2D games are awesome (such as the new super mario bros., wario land shake it, etc.), this game is great in its own style as well
There are over 30 different levels in the game that bring back the classic 2-D side-scrolling action from the original Super Mario Brothers, with a different twist
From a story perspective, fans of the other two paper mario games will enjoy this game as well however the gameplay is just mostly traditional platforming with little rpg elements that might turn off fans of the older paper mario games.
, I liked the fact that you can actually be Princess Peach in the game as well.
One would think that Super Paper Mario would find a cozy middle ground, but it doesn't.
As much as I enjoyed Super Paper Mario, I just wasn't impressed by any part of it
6 months pass and the Super Paper Mario game comes out for only the Wii

My husband and daughter skipped over most of the reading by hitting the a button as fast as they could without really effecting their game play (if they thought they missed something they could just talk to a person again). This includes some really puzzling puzzles, a fun story, great characters (both new and old), and a variety of controls.

But with these pixis they are not limited to Mario, the other characters can use the pixis' abilities as well
There are many plot twists, many characters, and plenty of humor.
.....so we both put it in, and right off the bat, the graphics were a bit disappointing (they're worse than the GameCube and maybe even N64 version) and suddenly the game is now more like a standard old-school, dated Mario Game than the interesting RPG styled game series I fell in love with
An interesting feature to the game, but the graphics aren't that good for
Pros:Basic graphics, but it ads a more retro feel, like from the old Paper Mario games
Though this doesn't matter much, the game also has gorgeous graphics
The cartoonish graphics, which are reminiscent of South Park, are cutesy, but work nicely in the context here
All in all, Super Paper Mario is a well-rendered game for the Wii, and should entice new Mario fans, as well as those waiting Super Mario Galaxy
But the game is let down severely by the pace: for every fun platforming area, there's twice as much irritating, unnecessary talking, hunting for items, and using the gimmicky "flip to 3D mode" to find secrets

I find the story is very slow moving and the excessive talking slows the game to crawl sometimes, though it can be found

Kids will love it as much as I do (and I'm nokid)
It bored me way too many times and lacked elements from the previous games that made them so replayable

This game has a lot of unnecessary dialog in it and its a lot of just sitting there and clicking through it
There's no game here, if there is, you have to endure more than 30 mins of bad music and lame dialog bubbles or worthless chatter
This game would be so much better without the lengthy pointless dialog

(and I mean ONLY) complaint I had with it is the loooooooooooooooooooooong dialog between the bad guys and the good guys...and between the bad and bad and good and good guys, too.
Heck, one of the main bad guys is modeled after the boss from Office Space
so u wont b sorry when u by it!!!!!!!!!!
good guys win
The second one being Mario go through 20 fighting rounds where it only takes one hit to kill the bad guys and then going through a bunch of doors to find the end of the level.
One cool thing is that you can shake the remote up and down after jumping on an enemy to get a bonus score.
(Ok, you do shake the remote to wake Mario up occasionally, but that's about it.)After being so impressed with other Wii games and the amount of moving around you do to play them, this was a huge let-down
At least it had more buttons if Nintendo insists on virtually ignoring the Wii remote and using it as a Classic controller for this game anyway
